Well done. I use Opus One to water my plants and drink 5 bottles of Heller Cachagua Cab instead.
QOTD: I aint waitin’ for jack. You just gotta get out there, hustle, and make it happen. Gary, Make It Happen! (that’s not a question either)

Meh. The McKenzie brothers did the mouse in the bottle thing two decades ago. Take off, eh.

Happy birthday Bobby, happy birthday forum, happy birthday SS.

I’m waiting for an excuse to crack my last ‘97 Smith Madrone because I think it’s the only bottle of Napa cab I have left. And I got it for under thirty, so there.

No baby mice wine! I was watching DiggNation last night and was excited to see you there.

QOTD: I am waiting for it to finally not be 90 degrees outside in the afternoon. Come on fall!

Gary, PLEASE DO NOT DRINK THE BABY MICE WINE! And I don’t really feel any need to explain.

QOTD: I tend to live one day at a time, I’m not really waiting for anything.

Great show. Interesting how these wines didn’t really pan out,I had high expectations for them.QOTD I’m waiting for the birth of my third child mainly because it’s my child and all the wonderfull things that go along with that. But also because of my wife being pregnant I’ve been drinking wine alone, and wine was so much better when it was enjoyed with my wife,I’m waiting to get that back. Thanks Gary and WLTV crew.

I too dislike the opus one and the silver oak. I was just in Napa and went to all three of these wineries. I didnt like the opus one because the people there were not nice. You know what they say, you only have one shot a first impression. Therefore it set me off on the wrong foot. The people at silver oaks were very nice but I too didnt think it was worth any where near their price point. The people at Larkmeade were great and i enjoyed the fruit forwardness of their Cabs.

Great show today! As far as wristbands go, hit me up. Happy birthday, Billy!

For the dispersement of the remaining wristbands: simple, a race around the earth.

    QOTD: Nuttin’.

    Gary,

Great show, exciting stuff…nice change up! Not gonna lie though, I thought the Opus One would have been the Oak Monster (shhhh…let’s not tell Jay Z)!

QOTD: I am waiting for the moment…when it hits square in the jaw and you realize you’re there (hopefully I’ll have a glass of wine with me or at least near by).

MY QOTD: What do you do with all the wine you taste after the show has been recorded?

The wrist band situation is tough…I’ll think about it!

HE’s BACK!!! Great to see you up and running again
You could ask the Colorado Rockies how to distribute a limited supply for an overwhelming demand. On second thought, not a good idea, the World Series ticket sales did not go to well.
Have you done anything with the thundercat pics or the thundercats? Just wondering.
    QOTD- Vaniac Cab

Fun episode. I had high expectations for those wines…

But had a chance to taste an AWESOME wine this weekend…Louis Jadot Grand Cru Mares vintage 2003…once in a lifetime experience…maybe.

QOTD: What are we waiting for? Good question…we’re old folks…maybe a weekend like this last one…again.

Gary, you absolutely MUST try the baby mice wine. You always say it yourself, you need to try new things and explore. What if your tasting another wine and it has a hint of baby mice, you’d never realize it because you’ve never tasted baby mice before. Anyways, love the show, keep it up!

Wow. Thank you for doing this. I have tried these type of big name, $$$$, wines at work and just not been impressed. I actually feel bad for my customers when they order such expensive bottles when I know for a fact that we have bomb wines on our list between 40- and 60 bucks. People need to think for themselves a bit more I guess!

Great show! Just goes to show you, labels and $$$ aren’t everything.

    Gary,

Just had to raise a point about the BUTTER BANDIT. Wouldn’t the Butter Bandit take away the butter? I would think that a wine suffering from an attack from the BB would have no butter in it. Shouldn’t it be something like “butter bag” or “butter bomb”? Just a thought.

Also, “did our did” is an awesome catch phrase, I am going to start using it.

    Thanks,
    Chris

How best to handout the wristbands?

    http://www.random.org/integers/

It might take a little work, but it is random.

    Happy Birthday to Bobby!!!

I thought Ramey would be #1 and why did I put Opus? Must be the wine. Oh well, great, great show as always and glad you are feeling better.

OK, how to alleviate the problem of the wristbands? I say give them to the Vayniacs who have ordered any of the Vayniac Nation wine or to the most prolific posters!!! Moi! That should bring out the lurkers.

QOTD: Good question. I’m waiting for that perfect bottle of wine? Too easy. I’m waiting to finally get to meet the G-Man somewhere, some time in the near future.

    Cheers!

P.S. And yes, the ‘85 Opus would have destroyed those bottles tonight.

    Hey Gary…

Being a “math teacher” I suggest you use a random number generator to choose who gets the wristband. You give each person a number, then randomly generate the numbers using your TI 84 silver edition plus graphing calculator! and VOILA…your people get their wristbands WITHOUT BIAS!
