QOTD: Best soup I can remember was a ginger infused beef soup that I had in Europe. Otherwise, I’d have to go with either good old chicken soup or a really hearty minestrone with sausage and pasta.

Citarella rocks, except the UES location which is too cramped and people are alot more bitchy. Although, I still shop there. Let me know how the soups are. P.S. Maybe butterfield market might have something good 4 u.

You’ll have to get better to led the Vayner nation…I’ve seen some of the 120 seconds videos already on youtube and they are interesting.

And I forgot…you have to get yourself (or send a lackey) to France to get some Raspberry Perrier. Not only is it delicious, but it staved off all of my colds when I was in France! Get better!

QOTD: Ziti with meatballs. Tomato based soup with (you guessed it!) homemade meatballs and ziti. Mmmmmm delicious!

QOTD – Grandma honey’s chicken soup with escarole.
Chicken soup made with onions, celery and carrots. Strain broth. Add washed and cut escarole. Let simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with lots of pecorino romano cheese on top.
    Delicious.

    QOTD: my mom’s chicken soup.

I haven’t seen anyone else suggest this:

If you have the common cold, take zinc gluconate (aka coldeeze) to reduce the length of time you are sick. I use the sugar free ones (white tablets) instead of the nasty tasting lozenges.

If you have the FLU, too bad. If you have really bad symptoms, see your doctor. He may prescribe Tamiflu which may help you from getting a secondary infection in your lungs.

I’m not a doctor (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express), so ask your doctor about the zinc 1st.

    Get well!

QOTD: Thomas Keller’s Butternut Squash Soup and my version of Dutch Split Pea Soup that I gleaned from a cookbook in Amsterdam – but that’s probably for sentimental reasons.

G-Man by all means pop a Z-Pac, it kills all bugs in no time. I hope the constant soup infusion works because yesterday was a classic. Me and my rep friend Nate were loving the slaying of Opus and Silver Oak. cheers and kudos.

QOTD: Call me old fashioned but I’m still in love with Mom’s chicken noodle. Now that’s a cold remedy.

Yeah, I’m still coughing lightly and have some nose stuff going on. It’s basically a two week deal, Gary, 4 days of which get you feeling pretty low. So, hang in there. I felt much better today. so, I got my flu shot to avoid the really bad shit that’s on the way.
