    Mr. Ambassador

New wine site to check out (thanks)!

Not much time for fun internet links right now: work, Wine Library TV and holiday shopping.

Have a fun trip (and start shipping to Washington State again)!

Answering the question of the day – May I recommend threadbanger.com?

And – this is gonna sound completely silly, but since I just rented the DVD – Gary, you TOTALLY!!! just remind me of Remy the Rat in “Ratatouille.” If you haven’t seen it yet, you should. The bonus is that they name-check two high price point exclusive wines, and they animated the wine correctly (the way it swirls in the glass n’ stuff). Great show!

I used to think, what did people do at work when they didn’t feel like working before the Internet? Then I thought, how did cube-bound subalterns endure our particular trials of the box without You Tube?!!

Click below to see a scene from Donnie Darko in which Donnie Darko has an intimate and deep conversation with Frank, a demonic rabbit. See a clip of a film filming a scene from Evil Dead. I like how the screen looks kind of wonky. That particular moment always moves me. After you watch it, go online and buy the DVD of Donnie Darko because a mere rental won’t sate your rabid post-Donnie Darko desire to see it fifty more times in a row and by that time all the late fees would easily add up to the 9.99 price tag for the original cut, which is better than the director’s cut, more minimal, better choice of music, etc. And, please note that in the opening scene of Donnie Darko, Donnie Darko’s family is drinking red wine with pizza.

And then I thought, what was office life like before Wine Library TV?

yet another great episode. QOTD: In the last 24 hours, I haven’t been on the web all that much, so the coolest thing in the last 24hours…. was this show. Lame response, I know, but the TRUTH.

Now, how about I twist the QOTD a bit. The coolest thing THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME in the last 24 hours, is I just received my 2 cases of wine from YOU, that you gave me free shipping on. YOUUUUUUUUU ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK!

I’m just in that change process Gary! The number of my “wine” friends is increasing (and hey, am just 29!), doing minimum one private winetasting a week… Wow – if someone told me that 2-3 years ago – no way!

QOTD: This is really rocking! One of the best things I’ve seen on the Internet so far:

Coolest thing I’ve seen on the web in the last 24 hours? It would have to be this youtube vid of Michael Jackson’s spin move. Weird as he may be, the little bastitch can spin effortlessly — about six full turns. Looks like an ice skater without any skates or ice. Here’s the link:

Great show, Gary! Keep up the great work! And I’d love to see some more Barbarescos on the show.

A viognier that’s actually an albarino? That’s my favorite kind!

See, just let Mott do the show when you’re sick next time. Everything will be fine.

If the box has “secret wine shipment” printed on the outside, it’s not much of a secret is it.
