Gary. Fantastic episode. Hadn’t gotten a chance to see WLTV in a while but what an episode to get back in the swing of things.
QOTD: 1. No 2. Hard to find a good selection of wine around where I live (Chinle, AZ).

Strike that, the first two are sold out already, looks like free shipping wouldn’t have helped me out anyway.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner…Unless its Baby Barbera D’Asti, that’s ready for me to have a glass of any day of the week, especially with some good old Italian Food. Great stuff, but I’ve never had a D’Alba, lookin forward to one. Hey Gary, when are you gonna rock some wines made by winemakers whose names are Gary like Gary Farrell and the such? just a thought…And when are you gonna do a Jumilla/Monastrell episode!!! The secret values of the world, unless you don’t want to gibe the secret away.

QOTD: I have actually had several Barbera wines…however most were California Barberas. Good episode. I am going to have to find a way to have wines shipped from you guys to Hawaii. Your prices are so much cheaper it is ridiculous.

Thanks, Gary. Again and again the show is educational and motivational (not sure if that is a word!). Keep them coming!

QOTD: The 04 Giacomo Conterno Barbera D’Alba (I forget the designation) is really awesome, but a little pricey. I’ve had a couple of Barbera D’Asti, which seem to be lighter and a little easier to drink, plus they were less expensive.

Great show today, Gary. It’s good to see you so excited about all 3 wines.

QOTD: Yes, I’ve had a barbera, but it’s been quite a while, and I rather forgot about them.

    Thanks for the reminder.

    question

I recently went to a tasting at my local wine shop, where the owner said Barbera is notable for its low tannins. I loved the wines, but wanted to know if the wines tried on this episode were unusually high in tannin for Barbera, or were they at the characteristic level.

QOTD: Barbera d’Alba is a top 6 favorite of mine. That being said, it has been a while since I opened one. I probably only have a couple in the cellar right now. I will open one soon.
