A birthday is always a good excuse to open a good bottle or 2. I always open a ’special one’ on my birthday, in fact, I always open a ’special one’ every week, which theoretically makes my age 483? Ah what the hell, red wine is good for that heart(and soul). Here’s to living to 7659 years of age. Hope you can join me on that one!

Hi Gary,

the early word coming in from Sonoma is that 2006 was a VERY difficult year to make a decent Chardonnay. Your idea of coming back to Rochioli next year is a good one. Try putting it up against a Chasseur and some other up and coming Sonoma producers (all with 2007 product).
