Can you do the thanksgiving tasting with the secret 4 pack somewhat tailored to new watchers as I am having the entire family (inlaws etcetera) watch the tasting with the four pack and they don’t do tastings and have never watched your videos. Kind of a tasting for beginners. Thanks. You got over 1000 very nice.

    Happy Birthday Gary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, are you going to watch “the big game” this weekend, the greatest rivalry in the history of American sports and if so who are you going to root for? Screw Lynn and every other Vayniac who is an OSU fan!!!!! Your going down this weekend!!!!
I always open a rare bottle for my birthday, this past year I opened a 97 Flora Springs trilogy. Did you? You should do a Flora Springs tasting.

One last thing birthday boy, I was really looking forward to your Michigan wine tasting. what happened? did you not like anything sent to you? If you want I might be able to send you some really sought after stuff.
    GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!

When I first saw the gentleman sitting next to you, Gary, I thought, “Oh, I must have missed something, and I guess this is the guy who won the contest”. Then he rolled his eyes almost immediately, and I was like, “What the heck!?! What kind of guy wins a contest to be on a show, and then rolls his eyes right out the gate?” Then you introduced him as your dad, and it all made sense, and the eye roll went from “offensive” to “special” in the snap of a finger.

It was neat seeing your dad and how the two of you relate. Very special.

    Happy Birthday, Gary. :)

    Sincerely,

    A Lurker

Gary, What a special bond you have with your dad. I lost my dad too young,14 years ago, but watching this episode brings back memories of the special bond & times we had together. I also like Sasha’s technique of tasting wine. To hell with spitting and why stop with one glass. I’m not much of a commenter on episodes but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
    Cheers to your birthday!

Well, since everyone apparently loves watching your dad, at least you know that as you are getting older, people will still like you, although you might consider picking up an accent soon. Maybe you should do a pairing with a turkey soon.

    Gary:

You finally exposed another “lurker.” After watching this show for nearly a year, and despite many heartful (and nearly teary eyed) requests, I’ve been able to resist the siren songs to join the fun in the comment section. Today’s show got to me. Thank you for putting on an entertaining, and informative show about wine without asking for anything in return. Well, except for the incessant demands to “[verb] you up.” Keep up the good work. Happy Birthday.
