QOTD: Pretty much anything…I only just got into wine when I started watching the show, and I hadn’t really bought many wines before then. But I started buy more wine, and more wine from out of my region, after WLTV.

Enjoyed the show GV. You seem to be on a roll.

QOTD: During your review of Washington State wines, you reviewed a couple from Delille. What a great winery and all of the varietals are very good if not exceptional.

I still write on my hand, but hey, it works!

QOTD: I tried a Gavi wine that I really liked, I had never even knew it existed prior to watching WLTV!

Pillar Box Red, had it the past two nights with my girlfriend (did the whole cork, refrigerate overnight, then bring back to room temp with tepid water to drink the next night thing) but it was WAY better the second night, maybe this would have done well with decanting or letting it sit longer? anyway, pretty good bottle for pretty cheap.
Thanks for the shout out on Michigan wines, I have jogged past/ through one of the vineyards where they grow those very grapes, good to know they turned out well. But whats the score on that bottle?

    Gary,

It’s a good thing that you intend to taste some more wine from Languedoc. Personally I’d be happy if you tasted the reds from Domaine Léon Barral in Faugères: Cuvée Jadis or Valinière. They rock!

Gary – lots of noise on the mic – Mott, if there’s a battery that needs to be changed, or a wireless phone near by; change it. (first things to try anyway)

    Nice show again…..

QOTD: I haven’t tried it yet but plan to in the near future……

Nice show today, more mellow but still a good one. It’s no shocker you’re calmer after yesterday’s energy-blitzkrieg.

QOTD: I’m 14, can’t drink it. Never have. Honestly. So let’s say… Welch’s? (Sp?) White Grape? Lol.

    FIRST!

QOTD: Lindaflor Malbec. I really hadn’t givien Malbec a try before then.

You should ask another question: What wine have you stopped drinking since watching WLTV.

Weird sound stuff in the begining. The last Beaujolias Nouveau I had was 2005 and I spit it out so fast I couldn’t imagine anyone fighting over it unless it was to get it to the dumpster. The number of wines I have tasted because of WLTV is huge. Probably 20 or more bottles of wines I had not tried and I liked most of the them. I think the biggest benefit was getting out of wine ruts more so than newer wines.

Went to Sherry Lehman to pick up a neutral red for a “smell off” I am hosting at my wine tasting group tomorrow night and Franc Debouf offered to autograph a bottle of beaujolais nouveau, so what the hey, I bought it. I like fruit juice.

QOTD: 2005 Wolftrap – would have NEVER picked it up, but did so on your recco – have had half a case and it has been an absolutely STUNNING QPR every time. Just had one last night in fact. The complexity this wine brings for under 10 bones is incredible. Big UPs GV!
