… wonder what’s under the football… huh… I have no clue.

Hey, here’s an idea for the next contest:

You know that chalk board behind you? You should pick some vinyard or winery around the world… and everyday, you have a different clue on the chalkboard that gives a small hint to what winery it is that you picked.

Or… heck… even a better way to get people to watch everyday is to simply say the clue during the episode so people have to watch to get the clue.

Only 1 clue a day… the first clues are impossibly hard… and they get a bit easier as we go… but not too easy.

But, the first person to guess it right… gets to fly there with you to do a bit of sniffy sniff on some of their wine and film an episode or two at the winery.

It would be pretty cool and would get people involved and watching everyday.

So… that’s my idea Gar… what do ya think???

Next contest should be that you send a bottle of each of the wines you taste on the show to the winner for a year, or a month. Then at the end of the month the winner gets to go on your show and argue with you about 4-5 wines that he felt you over/under-rated.

QOTD: I agree with the label making or homemade wine tasting. Under the football is one of those mini NFL football helmets they used to give away in cereal…or fast food..i can remember…a JETS helmet of course.

First of all, thanks for reminding us of Valpolicellas, a wine I’ve totally neglected. One of the reasons I value your show is that you constantly remind of the great, big, wonderful wine world that awaits us.

Under the football? Hmmm. New wristband sounds like a pretty good guess. I’ll have to go with that.

New contest: I like the idea of some sort of drawing, where everyone has an equal chance. Or you could do a hybrid, where you have one of those “25 words or less” contests for people to qualify, and then draw from the best responses. The prize? Oh, hell I’m greedy. Let’s say accompanying you on a wine-buying to Europe. Maybe a little unrealistic. How about a dinner for two with you at a top restaurant that has a great wine list.
