I like a NZ Sau Blanc now and then, but overall have been underwhelmed by their wines. QOTD-ice cream..that should qualify. www.winelx.com

Great show and guest. I like the guy and just might have to look into his book in the future. QOTD: Reduced ice wines into a syrup, then tossed in with a bunch of rice crispies. I dont know if that would even work......just call me a mad scientist!

QOT: My favourite pie? So here is my grandma's recipe I'm making public since our Lord has called her: Take a couple of fresh frogs, tear off their legs and put them (the legs) into a mortar together with: some spiders, flies and whatever you can catch in your cellar, bedroom or anywhere else, add some jalapeño chillies, nam plaa sauce from Thailand and palm sugar. Mix well together and wrap it up with pizza pastry. Put it in the oven until a delicious odour is filling the room.

QOTD: In England I had a lamb and mint meat pie, right outside Windsor Castle, which was killer. Now that I don't eat meat I guess my first choice would be a Chicken pot pie minus the chicken.

I love New Zealand wines, love them. I just get worried about producers catering their wines to the American palate. They need to do what they do best, and that is let the terroir dictate the wine.

I would like a "pot roast" style beef and gravy with vegetables - potatos, carrots, celery, onions.
