QOTD: gotta be bone-in ribeye, rare, lightly salted, blood red juicy-juice-juice through & through, paired (of course) w/ an aussie shiraz (or, if i’m feeling funky, a shiraz-viognier combo).

and yes, i AM here for the silver oak, but no, i’m not coming out of the woodworks just for it: i discovered wltv just ONE week ago (i know, i know, what sand dune have i had my head shoved into?), i’m on episode 51 & desperately trying to catch up.

To be honest I don’t eat meat anymore although I very much miss a med-rare steak with a rosemary dusting and mushrooms. It’s okay though because wine is veg and that’s the best part

I know I’m too late for the contest, but I wanted to comment anyway. I’m done being a lurker.

I prefer my steaks medium rare, with a well maillard-treated crust.

Also, everyone should check out my new blog, where I report on my home food making activities such as tonight’s goat ragu, or last week’s lamb bacon. Thanks!
