QOTD: About to wrap a few more of my daughters presents. Took a trip to Best Buy and got a PSP game (Disgaea) plus some kind of flight controlled bug?!.

I like the idea of the new shirt. Go for it, GV!

I’m a fan of the Clarendon Hills Merlot…great wine overall.

QOTD: Worked until 7, got home, opened a 2004 J.M. Billiot Montagny 1er Cru and had it with some roasted chicken, Glass of LBV Port and Roquefort for dessert…watched some TV with my girlfriend, watched the Thundershow, a little wine reading then off to sleep.

    Enjoyed the show!

I’d buy a ‘Link it up, Mott’ T-shirt; sounds cool…

QOTD: I’m watching WLTV, kicked-back and happy that work is done for the year!

Too bad only one of the Merlot’s “brought the thunder.” When I first started drinking wine about 6 or 7 years ago, Merlot was what got me into wine, so I never like to hear people bash it.

QOTD: Hanging out with my wife & playing with my puppy.

QOTD – just got home from a very full day taking the family Christmas shopping for about 9 &1/2 hours, watched the thunder show with a well deserved cup of coffee and it’s off to bed so I can get up and go to work tomorrow.

You make a “Mott, Link it Up” t-shirt and I’m buying one. I went out to dinner tonight, had a crappy Chianti, and I’m home getting ready to get in bed and read a book. Keep it real.

Yet another vote for “where was Washington??” Alternatively, you could have turned just to the north and let Long Island Merlot represent.

QOTD: Watching your show, drinking cheap Cava rose and eating fast food. How depressing is that?

Watching WL on my iPhone makes sitting in traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel suck a little less. Keep up the great work.

I love Merlot, done right, Columbia Crest Grand Estates comes to mind as a wine that gets mehed a lot because of its price. But, tasted blind, it outperfoms wines with much higher pedigree. I still prefer right bank merlot based wines to most other efforts.

QOTD: Catching up on back episodes of the Thunder Show. Enjoying a Columbia Crest Walter Core Private Reserve 2000 (I think that it would be GV 90+). Keep the faith, I love the everyman aspect of your show.

I’m drinking a Domaine Drouhin Laurene pinot noir from Oregon, but thinking about the 2000 bricco rocche barolo that’s waiting to be opened. Anyone in L.A. want to get together? ;)

Please do the Mott shirts … I’ll definitely buy some. I do enjoy Merlot on occasion, but have not had any in awhile. (Just because I’ve been trying NEW things).

QOTD: Just finished dinner (short rib stew) with a nice 2002 Eckert Estate Malbec. Good combo.

Feeding the cat, taking a shower, going to bed. Don’t be jealous.

    I want a Mott shirt!

Perhaps people should consider themselves fortunate that they have merlot as a blending grape and stop trying to make it the star of the show. Not that that is impossible. And I don’t want to squelch anyone’s lifelong ambition. But I like blends best.
QOTD: I’m making appetizers (caponata and Mexican souffle) for a progressive dinner a couple of girlfriends and I have every Christmas. I’m thinking of going for a white Christmas and serving Albarino for appetizers and Prosecco for the main dish (I’m helping out with the wines).

qotd: finishing this 2000 preston reserve cabernet that i picked a case of for 20 bucks a bot… let me tell u people that washington has great gems if u can find them… this wine is a a piece of work… its thick, smooth, very well balanced acidity to flavor ratio… and its good from beginning to end.

keep it up gary… by the way bills much better then the new jersey jets this year

Not a good show for Merlot today. Hope everyone is surviving the shopping frenzy.

QOTD: I am going to do NOTHING tonight but sit in my recliner, watch TV with my wife while sharing a bottle of Alice White Lexia while eating canalop and honey dew millon.
