Good ep….totally a home feel although I don’t think that was your home it still felt like we were very welcomed!!

QOTD: Well although I’m trying to find a bottle of Pierre Peter – right now the group has a magnum of White Star & Veuve Cliquot. I’m willing to try some of the growers and to turn them on to them – please don’t be upset but it takes time to turn the tried and true around and I will continue to work on it through your suggestions. I won’t give up!!

Its been a great year with you GV thanks for all your insights and teaching me to trust my tastes! Look forward to the next 365 – oh wait its a leap year!!! Bubbles to 2008!!

What?! No Cat-soup to go with your steak? Shocker! I kid.
    QOTD…what do you suggest?

QOTD: Going to be out at a night club, so probably liquor and champagne of some sort. But if I had my choice and could pull something from the cellar, it would be an isosceles or duckhorn howell mountain., no bubbly in my cellar…

Yes, Gary, there will certainly be some Grower Champagne consumed. Possibilities are Gatinois Cuvee Tradition, for the second year in a row, Michel-Arnould Grand Cuvee, and possibly Agrapart Blanc de Blanc ‘Mineral’ 2000. But I might just have to hold on to that one a little while longer. What’s your line-up?

Brandon Jacobs reference??? did that hurt dude?

QotD: somebody sold me some NV RH Coutier Rose Champagne that i thought might go down well on NYE – if work is quiet.

I start drooling everytime you bring out that Big Silver Oak bottle. I’m glad its finally going away so I won’t be tormented anymore.

NYE will be just me, my girlfriend, a cabin and some good rose bubbly. Not sure which yet but I will look outside of the established houses. Thanks for a great year of viewing Gary. 365 more episodes to come I hope!

QOTD: I looked up the show on Growers’ Champagne. Sounds great. Albuquerque’s not a very good place for off the beaten track products, but we’ll keep an eye open. We’ll probably have Taittinger, La Francaise. There will almost certainly be champagne left over and I will have mimosas in the morning.

Great show Gary. Never really tried white wines with stake, but I think I will try some out.
New years I will have a bottle of 2001 Allegrini Amarone, and a 2003 Chateau St. Jean Cabernet Sauvignon Cinq Cepages. I have been wanting to try these two for a while now.
    Happy New Years.

Just picked up a couple bottles of the Le Frappe Brut to try for New Years.

Interesting little story – one of the guys on your staff (Brian) called me today to let me know that a bottle of 2000 Massolino Barolo that I had sent to a friend as a late engagement gift in AUGUST was recently returned to your store as undeliverable. Apperently it was held up in DHL lost and found for the last 4 months. Looks like i’ll be drinking that on New Years as well!

    Have a good one.
