Liked the format today for a change of pace. It’s kind of how I drink wine, whatever suits my mood.

QOTD: Yes & No. I have had exact 2 German Rieslings, but I do have another in my basement that is a “special occasion” bottle: Johannishof Riesling Kabinett Rheingau Johannisberg V 2004. I plan on cellaring that for a few more years.

    QOTD: Yes, No.

I’ve had 2 Alsace Rieslings and one German. Right now, my palate doesn’t like the sugar, so I’m staying away from these for a while.

QOTD: NO, and, NO. I will…

BTW, is it the first time that Gary forgot to pour out the wine which he used to wash the glass??

If it is a Yeah…we may need to try that Riesling one more time, at least, on more swirl…because the kangaroo Bordeaux red blend might have added weight and complexity in to the German effort…

I have a pinotage or too in the cellar and am looking forward to trying them. The only Reisling I’ve tried is the one in the green bottle from Trader Joe’s…. was $5.79 a bottle. Not bad Spatlese. Great show Gary!

Indeed I have had two German Rieslings! Great stuff. I went out and tried a bunch of random German Rieslings after seeing an earlier episode about them. It was the first time I really had a white wine I enjoyed.

That look on your face when you said “we will continue in 2008″, followed by “we will try”, scares me! You look and sound not very sure of it, please tell me you are not going to abandon the show!

QOTD: I have only had one German Riesling before, and did not like it. Too sweet for me, Rieslings are really not my style, but I would be willing to try one again.

Definitely. It’s my choice for Indian Delivery and Green Curry Thai.
