QOTD: GOD a few weeks late…big love for picking the skins…sadly it was not to be. But let’s hope that Old Man River gets himself another ring. I guess I’m goin pack…and hopefully the chargers can put it together against the anti-team that is the freakin Pats.

I am a football fan watching this the weeked after the games, therefore predicitng a known outcome wouldn’t be appropriate.

I went to my brother-in-law’s home in Western MA for a belated holiday celebration. It was relaxing and the Skins/Seahawks game gave me the opportunity to take a good nap.

No good wines as my brother-in-law does not drink and his wife drinks wine but has no interest in learning about it. However, I had a Carmenere from Chile that tated almost like coffee. Very earthy, which I find typical of Chilean wine.

    Gary,
I’m a week late. You were 3 for 4 on the football picks. You should have went with your head. Never bet your heart. Giants looked good. Think they can beat Dallas? I rooting for my man Amad Bradshaw, the rookie from … Marshall! West Virinia’s finest. He’s tough. Tell Mott he’s the shit. I say they should pound Dallas with that big dude running back then bring in Bradshaw in 4th quarter with fresh legs and he will light them up.

It’s funny… I didn’t realize how much I look forward to new episodes of WLTV until I go for almost a week without seeing a new one. For some strange reason, I can’t get that Cinderalla song “Don’t Know What You Got Till It’s Gone” out of my head. Damn you 80’s hair bands! Damn yoooouuuuuu!!

FYI. Gary did say on the show that he would be on vacation this week. Also, I received an out of the office message email which said he would be returning on the 16th. So it’s a good guess that the next new show will be on Wednesday.

The real question is can we survive until then? The DT’s are setting in. Only time will tell.

In Episode #119, Gary said, “Rest assured, through wind, snow, rain, fog or dust…I will be here for you.”

But, where is he? I’m sad.

We do miss the show, Gary, but you definitely deserve a break. And a week without new WLTV episodes isn’t going to kill anyone. Hope your vacation is going well.

Thunderless distress! I pledge to not check on WLTV the rest of the week – a week which will henceforth be known to all of mankind as the WEEK OF NO THUNDER. It won’t stop me from popping a few bottles and giving them the good ‘ol WLTV sniffy sniff.

Hey Gary, my wife gave me Fusebox from Crushpad for Christmas. Have you considered doing a show on Fusebox? Its a pretty neat idea. Talk about board games for Vayniacs, this is right up that alley.

    Cheers!

I’d like to see Gary rub Petit Verdot grapes all over the ample busom of an excellent model, and then they could drink a bottle each and write poems.

I haven’t tried the Sbragia SauvBlanc, but I gave Ed’s 2003 Home Ranch Merlot a sniffy sniff/sippy sip last night. Wow, what a nicely made wine. Well balanced with great layering and length. Lots of jammy red and black fruits up front with a little bit of licorice and chocolate sneaking in as it evolved. It also had a nice hint of smokeyness. There are enough tannins to let it lay for awhile, but this is drinking beautifully now. It got even better when paired with a couple dark chocolate truffles.

If you get the opportunity, give it a try. Don’t listen to “Sideways” advice, drink this f’ing Merlot.

According to Gary’s Twitter page, he is Missing in Action… maybe we should send out a search party.
