QOTD—my fix of sniffy sniffs and changing the wine world whether they like it or not.

Family before food and wine; although it is often through food and wine that family memories are built. Hope you feel better and enjoy Florida if you can.

From Cincinnati OH via Bonita Springs Florida…

    Gary,

It sounds like you mixed bereavement, sick leave with a little vacation. A tough combination. Bottom line is that we miss you and wish you the best of all three circumstances.

It is a little tough out here in Seattle – first the no-shipping from Winelibrary to Washington State and then the Seahawks got stomped on Saturday.

Condolences for the loss. Get better.

QOTD: Actually, your time off has given me a chance to catch up on episodes I missed over the holidays. So, I’ve had plenty of “new to me” WLTV.

I miss converting more people. I just used up the last of the christmas pack and I’d love to show people the newest episodes.

Gary, I’m so sorry for your loss and feel like a real A$$ ’cause I was getting on ya last week for not having any shows, my sincere apologies !!!!

QOTD: The look on my wifes face when I start the show in the evening and repeat the opening lines in a somewhat controlled shout. She rolls her eyes, but knows I love the show. I also dig the ending too, but most of all the insight you bring to each episode, I’m learning new cool stuff everyday !
Keep ‘em coming ~! Max, Out !

QOTD: YOU with a little bit of me…..Someone else said it first but you are like comfort food. No matter what kind of day I have, you are always there to make me smile.

Sorry for your loss. Take whatever time you need we will be here waiting with open arms for your return.

QOTD: Since I was out of town also I am kind of happy that no shows were taped. I know that is so selfish but it is the truth!!!

QOTD: WLTV gives me a nice respite from all the C(*&% at work! That is what I miss, plus the “occasional” insite on some wines:)

    Hey Gary,

Really sorry to hear about your family friend and that you’re sick while on vacation on top of everything else. I hope you get well and that you’re able to get some rest and enjoyment out of the vacation as well!

    QOTD: I miss the Thunder!

So, the Pats cheated out another win. Big deal. When will the NFL grow some cajones and ban New England coach Bill Belicheat from the NFL for cheating? Pete Rose makes a few bets and he’s banned forever from baseball, but Bildo gets the blessing of the league to continue doing what he’s done for eight years. All the Patriots championships and records are tainted and so are all of their accomplishments this season. The Patriots are the epitome of the asterisk symbol.

    Hey Gary,

Really sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that your time with family was restful, and that you are feeling better.

Sorry to hear about your friend which always gives perspective to what is important…

Dude, I really think it’s better that you don’t pretape 4 or 5 episodes when you know you’ll be out of town. You won’t lose any Vayniacs if your show doesn’t air because we are in it for the long haul so no worries…

I hope you can find some good Matzoh ball soup so you can bounce right back when you return. I had a nasty cold over New Years and couldn’t taste a thing no matter how hard I tried.

QOTD: I miss you trying three 90 pointers and scoring them 84, 82 and 78 while shaking your head in disbelief……

Hey James, I seem to remember Ricky Steamboat getting the living crap beat out of him by Savage. In fact I remember him being on the wrong end of a ring bell…LOL.

Ricky Steamboat was the greatest wrestler of all time. And he did it with serious dignity–in the WWF, no less.

What I miss most? Honestly, you feel a little bit like family to me since I’ve been watching you for the past couple months. I miss you, Gary. I am so sorry for your loss. Take care of your immune system– drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit :)
