Gary…you have to try Cossentino…by far one of the finest Neros around under 25 bucks!

I live in Marsala, home of the great Grillo, Inzolia, Nero D’Avola grapes and amazing wines.

I guess that means I am on a permanent wine vacation. Come visit us! Beatiful scenery, amazing food and even more amazing wines.

If I didnt have plans on taking a trip to Florida, Id love to visit the WL. To think 3 years ago I was in Elizibeth, NJ, and had no idea you guys existed! Of course I wasnt collecting/drinking wine then so its moot. :( QOTD: Since Im from Washington, a good ol’ weekend trip to Walla Walla or Yakima…. maybe both!

Gary, just sitting here with my wife and enjoying a bottle of 2005 Santa Anastasia ‘Contempo’ Nero D’Avola and watching your show. QOTD: wine vacation – based on your recommendation of Pomum Cellars, we vacationed in Yakima Valley. The wines were excellent and we enjoyed the area. BTW we picked up two magnums of 2005 Shya red. Javier, wine wine maker, was an excellent host. Great recommendation and keep up the good work.

I have a great Nero D’avola from my family’s vinyard in Sicily that I am bringing to the states to sell. I would love to have you taste this wine…and the other varieties…

QOTD: The wife is running a marathon in the Napa area in May with some friends. The spouses (including me) will cheer and hold up glasses of heavily oaked cabernet at the finish line. Then we shall go do some tastings.

ps. fell a little behind on the episodes, but I will catch up, I just need to devote a whole week to wltv.

Worst scenario? Nah! Best scenario. After destroying G-Bay, Gints topple Bill Bellacheat’s Patsy’s, making 18-1 the worst record in the NFL! Stick to wine Gary, its less painful than bleeding green!

My wine vacation is going to be drinking it every chance I get, seeking out the new, different, and unfamiliar, and taking the very initial steps towards wine/sommelier certification.

    Hey GV,

How did you get George Clooney to open today’s show? And why was he decked out in Giant’s garb? Was his Dolphin outfit at the dry cleaners?

    Just wondering,

One of our favorite everyday wines is Colosi Nero d’Avola ($8 bones). Nothing earthshattering, just the typical chocolate cherries with some nice pepper on the finish. QOTD: We’re going to Seattle in June for a conference and were going to explore Washington State for a few days afterward. Any winery suggestions?

Q:I’m afraid I spend all my wine vacation money on wine. I’ve never been to Jersey, but if I get there WL will be on list of stops for sure.

Probably not a true vacation, so to speak, but will probably take a weekend trip and do the wine festival at Watkins Glen in July, and a day trip along the Niagara wine trail also.

QOTD: Some friends are getting married in Mountain View this summer so we’ll swing up to Napa and Sonoma for a few days. For 2009, it’s all about the Vayniac Cab. Is there going to be a release party in 2009?

I’m out of the rhythm now, I haven’t watch WLTV in so long!
