Qotd: had a few in Virginia this past year at a tasting that were dynamite. Unfortunately they were all done blind so I'm not sure which one was the best

Have only had a few PV's since it's mostly a blending grape.. QOTD-have a Caldwell PV in cellar. ww.winelx.com

Two years after …… i wake up.come Dom ….
Anyway, my best petit Verdot i ever try are Two …
Cuvée Moisin 2006 of Chateau Moutte Blanc Bordeaux Superieur (very close Margaux) absolutly amazing, The best petit verdot products in Bordeaux (the owner made just 3 barrils of 100 % PV)A colour just how !!
The Second is Papin 2007 from chateau Mirambeau Papin Bordeaux Superieur (North of Bordeaux) véry véry good, he add 10% of merlot .
Both owner are the only two made 100% eptit verdot in Bordeaux, so so so passionned winemakers!!!!
If some body read me after 2 years, gimme a sign.
A useless comment of ME, that's very very fun to write something who's nobody read.

The best Verdot I ever tasted was out of the barrel at Hanna in Alexander Valley. Purple, plush and ripe. That’s rare for this grape, but Murphy Goode and Rancho Sisquoc get close also.

A petit verdot varietal was the first ever “real” wine I had, and it was love. (Trinchero 2001 — great complexity. Still tasting the finish.) I haven’t tried any others because I see it so rarely, but I definitely keep a look out. (And, now I’m going to watch for cab francs…) I’m also always on the watch for dry, green whites. Sauv. blancs, of course, but they’re so hard to do well, especially here in Zin country. I need to learn more about Alsace wines.)(Actually, I need to learn more about everything.)
