Again? You want to go? Why? You have not even made Letterman yet……
QOTD: From what? If you want to quit and give up all that you have worked toward that is your choice. I will be sad to see the show got because I am a huge Mott fan……

A Lurker. Coming out after six month watchnig Wine Library TV. I really like busting up on the floor hearing stories from your teen years and your growing up. And watching you swill, and sniffy sniff, and use words like “Skittles”. And crew up cigars. So, if you are going to end the regular show … at least do a weekly. Were would we all be without you. It will be like Cody’s Books, or Johnny Carson. Keep it up at least until 2010.

I agree with STEVO…you can’t be thinking about leaving. You always tell us how much you love all the love you get and you couldn’t go on without the love from all your fans. What do you have in mind for the show? I love the show and look forward to it every week. Thanks and keep it coming Gary!

Gary…you’re full of sh*t. You’re not going anywhere. Puh-lease. As if any Vayniac out there in the Vaynernation believes that.

    GV,

Seriously love the show, and don’t want it to end, but if the issue is that you don’t want to unintentionally represent some sort authoritative view on the way in which we should appreciate and interpret wines, then maybe an interesting new project for the VAYNERNATION would be to start a “wine you tube,” and invite people to post up their own tastings.

I love the show so much, and I want it to stay around.

What’s the fuss about ending the show, man?
You are not going to end the show. This is not like Seinfeld where you want to go out on top. You have more work to do. You need to bring more people into the reality of wine drinking for the average Joe.

You make it sound like you are going to join the staff of Wine Spectator and talk with the rich and famous Chateua owners and make us all realize that we can’t afford their juice anyway.

How can I save the show? By telling you that you have found your “calling”. You are a preacher to convert the people to an elegant, respectable, way to enjoy wine and life.

    Rock on GV!

Dude, great show, I love the “learning” shows. QOTD: Fine! I’ll send the picture with the wristband!

I certainly enjoy the show and appreciate what I have learned while watching the show over time. Its been a fun ride and hope that it is not over, but I understand the need to expand and take on new challenges and that life changes over time.

I would hope that the show continues, dunno if I have any influence past asking that Gary stay with it.

The day Gary ends the show is the day he buys the NY Jets and starts a NY Jet video blog instead.

Sounds like maybe the “Thunder Show” is over and it is time for a BRAND refresher. Could it be the “Radool Show?” Although that sounds kinda “meh!” Come up with some other cool buzzword! Wonder what it will be.

Like the rest of the vayniacs I am not sure what we need to do to save the show. Do you want us to beg?

  15. January 26, 2008

    Mike

Soooo… Why is WLTV ending? I missed it too.

  16. January 26, 2008

    Gabriel

Well, for us to be able to know how to “save” the show we first need to know what’s ailing it.

I’ll save the show by coming back to the USA to specifically walk to your house and tell you to NOT STOP MAKING THE SHOW at odd hours of the night. If that doesn’t show dedication, i dont know what does!

WTF GV? Can’t leave us hangin’ now that you’ve realed us in. I will have to attend Dr. Drew’s Celebity Rehab (and i’m not even a celebrity!)Please don’t make me have to deal with Jeff Conway! You rock and WLTV rocks! Hope this is some ploy to mess with our small brains. If you are quitting are we still partying on 3/29/08 at the store? Please say it isn’t so! QOTD: Save it by just saying NOOOOO!

  18. January 26, 2008

    WineGuzzler

WLTV may have caused trouble with wineries, distributors, etc. Nobody enjoys a negative review. WLTV may be being blackmailed by the aforementioned. i.e. We will not sell this to you or that. If indeed WLTV ceases webcasting I for one will miss it. Best of luck.

    Elliot Essman

How to save WLTV? Well, I already comment every episode. I tell many people about the show. I imagine you have some kind of suggestion yourself, so out with it.

    JimmyP

OK, GV…whats goin’ on??? Gotta be something cause I can see it in your eyes. You are amazing and I appreciate all that you have done for the Vayniacs of the world! If WLTV is truly coming to an end…Thanks for the memories that will last forever!! Soooo..does Xanax mix well with wine…cause I’m not sure I’ll be able to drown my sorrows with wine alone… :)

QOTD: I would do just about anything to help save the show…what do ya need???

  21. January 26, 2008

    Sam

You can’t end WLTV yet, and I have the best reason why…Your lucky number is five. You have at least another hundred plus episodes to reach your goal. Plus, you haven’t filmed an episode from the casa di Lydecker in CT yet.

    Your always welcome.

Forgetaboutit!!! Keep it going or I will come and break your kneecaps. If the wife is complaining that she doesn’t see you enough then can the show. She comes first. If it is something else then get a grip and keep it going. Yeah, I haven’t watched the show in awhile, but I am back into it and posting as you request (under different names now and then). I have sent links out to a lot of friends in the past including serious wine guilds that make their own wine and consume a lot of commmercial wine. I promote you and love what you are doing for the wine world and I think you are being monetarily rewarded in the long run. Sure I haven’t bought any wine from you yet, but I will. Still waitning for a huge review of Tannat (Madiran and Uruguay) comparison. Yeah, I have seen the episode of your Tannat review and it was good. Love the score sheet that can be searched and pinpoint what I am after in a wine at the time. Great resource and I use it a lot. Do a Madiran / Tannat show before you leave it you do decide to leave. We will miss you if you do. The wine world will never be the same without you. Great stuff you are doing. No one else compares or has the passion. I hope you reconsider. I know it is a huge investment of time and energy. You have exceeded expectations and whether you quit or continue you have contributed greatly to the world of wine. Thank you for all you do.
