Happy Bday A.J. Ive got a great older brother and a great younger sister as well and I will always be thankful of that. Ive got a suggestion for you as well A.J. Your brother is the MAN is the wine world, maybe you venture to the beer world and give G.V. some healthy competition. I am emursed in both worlds and think the Wine Library world would love to see the V brothers take over the beer and wine world. Just a thought.

That was a lot of fun! AJ seems like a smart dude.

QOTD: I’m the oldest sibling. And yes, I’m at least as cool as Gary. ;)

Happy 21 AJV! Don’t let that wine rot your mind. Drink responsible and remember, the liver is not evil and doesn’t need to be punished, now get on a plane and hit Vegas.

I am the oldest so yes I am as awesome as Gary. ;) My younger brother Stephen, in SF, got me involved in wine. I was always a beer guy. He took me to a business dinner that his boss was hosting and they were buying bottles of Silver Oak like it was going out of style. Stephen had me try the wine and it was OVER! I became a wine fan. Right there and then I realized what all the hype was about.

Happy Birthday AJ! Today is my Mom’s B-day too.
Gary, your little bro is even cuter than you! Nice to meet more of the fam.

QOTD:I’m the baby and my older bro tortured me growing up but now he’s very sweet to me. Funny, he started being nice to me after leaving for college when he got his first real girlfriend.

This was cool. One because it was a great set up to show the Youn-Ger-Chuck. The bottle they have been saving and the moment that was important to them.

It was also cool for me to see someone that was so raw. I share that total inexperience, even though I have been a WLTV fan for some time. Figure that out. One thing I can not get over is I can’t smell. That makes it difficult. Plus, I have yet to eat dirt, cigars or play-dough(?). I can only look forward to it, I guess.

Great ep. Happy b-day, AJ, and kudos for being brave enough to share you birthday sniffy sniffs with us. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a 20+-years-old wine.

QoTD: I’m the eldest, and I hope I’m half as cool as an older sibling as GV is!

Happy 21st AJ. Wonderful show. My brother’s b-day today – he’s a little older than AJ- turned the big 50 today.

Nice job, AJ! Happy Birthday. Great chemistry between the two of youse.

QOTD: I have an older bro, 2.5yrs older, wicked-awesome, we’re both in our mid-40s, still get together every few weeks to hang out, B.S., and — of course! — share wine with each other. (Love ya, Jeffy Jeff.)

Happy birthday AJ, and as a member of the CKC I think it was bad to the bone to see someone closer to the CKC age group on the show. Also, if that was the first time AJ actually drank alcohol and tonight will be the first time he gets buck housed crazy then my name is Elmer Fudd.

    QOTD – I have 4 younger brothers

Happy BD to A.J., and QOTD – both of my sisters are younger than me, but they’d both say YES to that question ;)

Happy Bday AJ! Great show I really felt the family love :)
QOTD: I have an older bro too, it’s taken a while for our relationship to develop but he and his wife just had a baby boy so he is a little more mushy now and I am thrilled to get an open view and shout out from his heart.

    CHEERS AJ!

Happy Bday, AJ. Welcome to the club of those of us where were lucky enough to do a wine tasting on our 21st!

QOTD: Newp. I’m the oldest. Oldest in my “generation” (i.e. including cousins) in fact.

    Fun Episode Gary!
I’m surprised that you didn’t bust out a 2o year tawny or an aged vintage port! However…I do have to say…bringing out the ‘87 Opus One is HUGE!

QotD – Yep I have an older brother, but he’s pretty focused on his career, so I don’t really get to talk or see him that often (maybe 3x per year). However, when I do see him we have a great time and have lots to talk about!

Great show GV and AJ – but you could have at least removed the price tag from little bro’s glass!

QOTD – as the youngest of 5 I learned so much from my older brothers and siters – mostly from their mistakes. Being the baby of the family rocks on and on.

Happy 21st Birthday to my favorite little bro! I am so proud of you & no more drinking!

Very interesting to see how AJ responded to the wines. I can remember feeling the same way about reds a long time ago. Great job!

i love gruner veltliners. an interesting choice for a newbie to first try, i think a riesling kabinett would be another great choice for newbies. next maybe an australian shiraz witha little viognier blended in there would be another good choice if were drinking syrah. as for the 21 year old opus, i cant imagine liking an aged wine when i was a newbie, it took my palate some time to start to like them. to me they tasted like an old musty attic with grandpas old clothes in a box that hasnt been opened for decades. QOTD: have the coolest bro and sis ever.

    Yo – AJ! HAPPY 21!

Too starstruck to get Browning?! Hmm… even I got it, ask your sis…..

To ALL THE VAYNERNATION This is vintage Gary & AJ. Its awesome to see these guys acting for real on here & they are the best!! Love you both!!

    PS -
Gary, think you need AJ to be a partner… he was great!
