That was just a great great episode. Made me think of my own two younger brothers back home in Canada. Nice.

WOW! My hats of to your parents for creating such a “reeedunkulously” great older brother like GV, and a “cute as poo” little bro and the relationship between. My wife gets credit for the “cute as poo” adjective.

Great show Gary & AJ! Happy Birthday from Germany! Now its time for a “Lizzy likes” show… What do you think? ;)

QODT: I’m the older brother as well!

Where did the video comments go??!! Were we too funny for you, Gary?

I have an older brother – three years older, to be exact. He is an amazing father, husband, brother and friend. I love the guy dearly, and count myself as very lucky to have such a great older brother. He also has an awesome apartment on the Upper West Side, so I travel to NYC at least four times a year to hang with him.

    Happy 21st, AJ.

I am traveling to Austria in a few weeks. I will look around for the Gruner Veltliner.

QOTD: I am the oldest sibling.

Happy Birthday, AJ! loved-loved-loved the vibe on this show. i wish someone had done that for me on my 18th b-day!

QOTD: i have 2 younger bros (2 and 8 years my juniors) whom i can’t think of as “smaller than me” because they are both 1) a head taller and 2) way cooler than me! i have a lot to learn from them.

Great show, probably one of my favorites, mostly because AJ is in a similar situation that I’m in. Gary recommended a few wines when I asked, one was a spanish red, and the other was an australian shiraz. I’m definitely going to order a bottle of the white that was on this show.

QOTD: My older sister, while kinda kooky, is who introduced me to music, and it changed my life. Family is so important, and after a few years of my dad and myself at odds, we buried the hatchet over Christmas this year. I am glad we did, as he had a double bypass surgery last week, and I could never live with myself if we had not been on good terms during that.

QOTD: My brother is 10 years older than me and he got me a hooker on my 18th birthday and when I was 21 he made me drink screwdrivers till I blacked out and woke up with vomit all over myself. So, you tell me!

AJ, I liked the way you carried yourself on the show. A lot of humility and some humor. A lot of honesty and an open mind. Nice job. Way to go.

QOTD: I am the oldest, so I am the cool one. ;)

Happy birthday AJ. I also had a 21 year old wine when I was 21. Very good Chateau Duhart Milon Rothschild. It almost ruined me to wine because I didn’t roll Gran Cru as a CKC. But I love wine now. QOTD: I am the middle child and my older brother is the bomb and my younger brother is finally starting to come around

    QOTD: no siblings

Why is the drinking age 21? Wasn’t it 18 in many states in the ’80s? When are they going to change it back?

A memorable episode. Quite heart warming.

QOTD: My older sister rocks. Especially since she managed to tolerate me through my annoying teen years.

Happy 21, A.J.! Man, it is great to see you two interact with one another. You guys are great. Gary, you don’t need me to tell you this, but you have a radool family!

As I mentioned earlier today. I just stumbled across your wine show today for the first time. Real Fun Stuff. This episode was interesting being that I have children getting up there in age. My daughter is 17 and my son is 13. I am just a big ole wine geek so I to have saved some great vintage wines for there 21st birthday. To Start some great Champagne 85 Salon for both of them. Hopefully it will hold up well a few more years. 1990 Spottswoode Cab. for my daughter born in 90 and some 94 Silver Oak Napa for my son. Cant wait to enjoy those wines with them. Oh and yes they have tasted wines already. Alittle sip dont hurt noone. As for me! Turning 40 this year. So I wanna open some 86 Lafite Rothchild that I have been saving for awhile. Heck that was the year I graduated from High School. Cheers!!

Hey. I’m Daniel Abrams. Been a huge fan since the beginning of this year (yeah, it ain’t long). I’m underage by a bit, but that don’t stop me enjoying wine. My parents love wine and serve me all the time. We drink tons of amazing stuff. Opus, Mersault, ect. I’d love a reply. I haven’t replied before this because.. I’m a lurker. But anyway, i was very sad when i heard you were done with shows. I know your back on (tentatively) and want to encourage you. I really appreciate the show and am bumming I am too young to visit you at the Boston Wine expo. I live very, very close. Please hit me up with an reply.

That was one of the best shows I’ve seen! Great job AJ. Need to have AJ on more as a sit in for all us Noobs!

QOTD: Yeah, I have an older brother and sister. Sister was kind of distant since there were 5 of us and she is the oldest. She was off in college when I was in middle school. My older brother is just 4 years older than me so he was around a good bit getting us into all kinds of trouble! We definitely had some good times. I took my younger sister and brother under my wing in high school. The 3 of s are seperated by 2 years each. Hung out with the same crowds and ended up at the same parties. I was the oldest so they always got to hang out with my “older” group of friends and it always made them feel special. Of course, I was always having to keep them out of trouble (esp my little brother) since I didn’t drink till I was 22. But we all had a great time growing up together and talk at least once a week, even though we’ve all moved away from each other and usually only get to see each other on holidays.

    Happy Birthday AJ!!!!

Love the show. Great family interaction, and very interesting to watch a person experience wine for the first time.

QOTD. As the oldest of 8 boys, I have no older siblings, but all my younger ones are pretty cool and great guys to be around.

Qotd- Second son, great older brother only 18 monts seperated us. Took my youngest daughter out for her 21st. I thought champagne would be the thing. Ordered Veuve Clicot Yellow label (at a resturant it is some serious change) and could tell right away she was not enjoying it. So I ordered a glass of orange juice and introduced her to mimosas! She loved that!

Moral of the story give them GV or reisling for a first glass of wine! Great show and nice to meet your brother. He seems a smart dude with no pretense. I like him.

Gary, very cool show!!! You and your brother have cheered me up
some.. My father passed away this morning, so I’ve been dealing

your show.. There is nothing stronger than family.. P.S. I know
sometimes I say alot of raw sh*t, and wierd f*cked up things, but
hey…….. It’s all good….. LET’S DRINK SOME GOD DAMN WINE!!!!!
