Cheese Fondue?! Flash back to 1972. Oh wait, I wasn’t born yet.

The Oak Monster scared me! i thought that poor woman wasn’t ready for the Oak Monster but she handled herself well.

Very good show today! QOTD: What would make me want to try Swiss wines? The show today, no question about it. I just wish there was some place to buy them around here!!

QOTD: Great stuff, and good to see guests like Ms. Grosjean on WLTV.
I’ve been in Switzerland only once. We visited Interlaken, Gimmelwald, and Berne. I remember a train ride we had that went along the shore of Lake Geneva and through a lot of vineyards, through the town of Morges. It was a beautiful sight, and one I’ve carried with me a long time. My wife spent a month in Morges training in music; we’d both love to go back… and try the wine this time!

Great show…Maybe GV could watch the show again and learn how to “swirl” elegantly like Sophie :-) I’d certainly like to visit Switzerland mainly to experience nature’s beauty and learn more about their culture as well as drink some fine wine and eat all kind of fine chocolate. My only swiss wine experience so far was with Zweigelt but I tend to seek more varieties from there…Cheers

oh Gary this was the episode i was waiting for!!! thank you thank you thank you

QOTD: I am a Swiss/American double citizen and as such am a VERY proud spokesperson for my country, if you have never been, it is the apex of all that is good and lovely, nice people (nicer than Germans, come on admit it! ;) LOVELY scenery, hopping cities, teeny centuries-old villages, and the most awe-inspiring mountains in the world, and now of course FANTASTIC wine, im SO excited to take my new husband to visit my family over there and the country next summer up in Kreutzlingen. Its going to be the trip of a life-time, and the first trip since ive really started to enjoy and learn about wine!

Enjoyed the show, but there are no swiss wines to be found here (in the states)…the big wine store near me doesn’t carry any, and a search on wine library’s site resulted in none, nada, nichts, aucune, nessuno (trying to be as multi-lingual as the swiss). What’s the point? Just torturing us?

What a fun show and I learned the Swiss have their own grape that is very versatile.

QOTD: I already want to visit and now I can look for the wine too.

QOTD; I would love to visit Switzerland, and if there, I would have to try the local wine, even if it is a little spendy. I would never purchase the wine here though. I have visited Germany & Italy, and I love Europe but its pretty hard on the pocketbook. There is just never enough of them Bones!
Thanks for another education on the Thunder show.

Great episode, Gary you are contantly educating us! Did you curse, by the way, 4:18 into the program?

QOTD: I work at a small wine store in New York, and we have a Swiss customer who makes your country, and your wines seem simply incredible. Also, I cannot imagine a better spokesperson for your country and its character than the well-spoken, intelligent, and humble Roger Federer. Thanks for sharing your wines!

This Swiss Miss, seemed a bit defensive of her family’s wine…Huh? LOL.

BTW, Gary did you tell her to wear that outfit? Looks like she just jumped out of a Ricola Commerical.

But seriously, great episode. Love learning about wines from non traditional wine countries.

QOTD: Never been to Switzerland, but I’d love to go skiing there.

    Great Guest show!

QOTD: I’ve never had much desire to go to switzerland before and really wasn’t aware of the wines. I’ll be looking for swiss wines now and will add it to my list of places to visit.

    Great Show!!!

QOTD: I dont know too much about Switzerland…which is funny because my little sister just spent the last 5 months there at an internship with the W.H.O.. I would definitely love to visit though. I just wonder what the absolute best varietals would be for the climate they have there.

By the way, Sophie, are you just recently married? I played with my wedding ring just after I was married (decades ago) the way you did on the show today.

Hey..What’s her real name…Sophia(on the episode title, Sophie(in the link to email her) or Sophoe (on the actual email address)?

I’ve only ridden a night train through Switzerland from Milan to Heidelberg.. No nothing about Swiss wines and really enjoyed learning about them. I’m going to look for some here in the US but will plan to visit and try the wines there.

QOTD: Guess I’m the typical American*… Don’t see Swiss wines at my store, so they must not produce any, right? Well, I’m very glad to say I learned a lot this episode. Very fun and knowledgeable guest.

Great show, I didn’t realize that there were Swiss wine out there.

QOTD: Swiss? Chocolate, timepieces and bank accounts…I take a trip to Switzerland when I go to the Black Forrest of Germany.

    Chris Braun

A fun episode — a chance to learn something since I’ve had little exposure to Swiss wines.

QOTD: I visited Switzerland once, and would be pleased to go back. It’s beautiful and a very comfortable place to visit — nice people, easy travel. Our best friends are of Swiss heritage and often serve us raclette or fondue, but we generally have American or German wines with them. I’d love to learn more about Swiss wines and try pairing them with these dishes.

Ok….time to book a flight to Switzerland.

QOTD: The chocolate, scenery, culture, architecture, and beauty.
