Good episode, the fact that it had no reds makes me a little upset, but not bad. Love Viogner.
Since it was in the name of science… ie tasting wines, it doesn’t matter but…
Biggest wine wasting episode ever. You probably poured out 1.5 bottles of wine in 20 minutes without drinking a single drop.

It was nice for you to do this episode for the vegetarians in the auidence. Sadly, Im meat meat meat to the core. Heart attack at 35, here I come!!! QOTD: Im a dammed year late! Not that Id do it just for prizes. I do tell people like my family and people I work with, but I dont think they are that serious about wine. *sad face*

Hmm WHINE AND SNIVEL CHARDANEY tastes like shreaded pasture grass with a little whoopie weed thrown in

“Great concept, but we are on top of the food chain for a reason.”

I really would like Elliot explain to us why we are on the top of the food chain. Probably the funniest thing hairless apes claim. We are a defenseless creature, top of the food chain? Not sure I would agree just because I can walk in to a store and buy an animal. Sleep out, no tent, in Jackson Hole and you will feel like you are at the bottom of this food chain: Bears, wolves, Buffalo, etc. Because of this experience, I am frightened of animals and believe we all are and this is why we feel the need to eat them every meal of the day ——INSECURITY

Look what happens when I get busy with work and don’t check the site for a few days…back log! The GVNC just doesn’t stop. Time to play some catch up.

Can’t wait for the day when Washington State faithful can order wines because that Rose looks great! Oh well, I guess I’ll continue drinking the local juice.

    Gary,
Thanks for showing some pairings with some middle eastern foods.
I will post a blog with comments from fellow Vayniacs on why they love WLTV on my food and wine pairing blog.

Great show! I’m a vegetarian and appreciate the effort. However, the paring with food seemed to get lost. No biggy though. How about a show with big reds for super unhealthy vegetarian food? Think rich creamy alfredo sauce or three cheese lasagna.

Can’t wait for the big FOUR HUNDRED on Monday.

QOTD: Gonna of course make some bloggy stuff, but one’s again, I’m gonna take one of your shows and show it to my students, trying to recruite some new chef’s/waiters

This was a great episode and it is too bad if many of the vayniaks did not get to see this one. Gary was on fire and the pairings with the food were great. I think that this episode was deeper than what was seen. Lots of thought and insight into future episodes.

QOTD: Not a clue, I have had a hard time finding wine drinker in our area.

    GV-

    Cool episode!

QOTD: I’m still thinking about this. Probably gonna send an email out to the Wine Club peeps. Probably going to wear a wristband all day. Probably going to post on my blog. Probably going to change my facebook profile to something WL-ish.

Gary, Interesting show today. Cool subject even though I am far from vegetarian.
QOTD- I am going to a superbowl party on sunday, I will try and make some converts, one couple is on the edge of coming over.

    Gary, another fantastic show!!

Spread the thunder- Yea! I send video links to friends and I think it would be cool to have a wine tasting like we did with the Christmas Pack- but make the selections available earlier- then we could all watch and compare with you- just select wines that most of us can afford. I love Gewurz- I grew up on the 5 bone version made by Fetzer/ In those days you could bring a 5 gallon jug to the winery and the kids of the Fetzer family would filler up with the house red wine= hmmm hpw things have changed, Will try the Alsace soon/ Wow- was that really Rachel Ray that left the comment below?

How to spread the Thunder…? How about someone holding a “tv.winelibrary.com” banner at the Super Bowl?

I’m a longtime vegetarian, and I LOVE that you did this show. Not a big fan of Gewurztraminer, but I’m definitely going to give it another shot with food. However, you picked very light veggie food. I often make richer, fattier veggie stuff like mushroom cream sauces–they stand up very well to reds. Any chance of getting another show featuring veg food paired with reds?

I don’t have a blog, but I’ve told all my wine friends about the show.

    GV,

When I was in the Scouts, we roasted marshmallows, not mushrooms. Kids today have it so good!

So whadda they prefer – crimini or porcini?

Gary I hope i can submit later in the week yet, sometimes i don’t get to watch the Thunder show on the Day of the Thunder. Anyway great show…

Yeah, let’s do this…hmmm…what to do to spread the word about thunder. You know my grandfather was a meteorologist so I’ll ask him how to spread the thunder.

Yo! Ill! Thanks so much for doing a show about us Veggies. Great to know there is something out there for us.
    thanks again!

Fantastic episode (sorry my comment comes a bit late, like a couple of days). After the Golddust comment from a couple of weeks ago, huge follow-up with the ref to his dad Dusty. I marked out like crazy.

QOTD: Since I’m posted in Turkey, I have to rely on the internets to get the word out (and I’ve been trying)… more to come.
