if you leave any wine oxidized for 5-6 days it will start falling apart no question regardless of the producer or grape. theres a reason restaurants dont sell their great producers and wines by the glass.
love the wine selection today, definitely agree 15%+ alcohol is just way too much for any wine especially an “elegant” viognier varietal.
QOTD; been spreading the word, got my step father watching the show, as well as my best friend, whom have no obsession like i have for wine, but share a common interest.

    GREAT SHOW!

QOTD: Yes, don’t know how yet but even if I get one other person watching then I will be pleased.

Got to go check out this Eyewitness News business that everyone is talking about, see you guys tomarrow!

You’re little tangent about rosé in Provence took me back. I had exactly the same experience. Sitting around talking with an old french guy who was smoking a pipe while enjoying a bottle of rosé and taking in the view and smells of Provence. It’s an incredible place.

For my part in spreading the thunder I plan on creating an actual electrical storm. It will be very Tesla-esque on the nose.

Falafel wines is a great idea, perhaps a way of life. I’m so with you on the alsace. There just so many good houses-Deiss, Ostertag, Zind-Humbrecht, Kuentz Bas, Weinbach-how could you go wrong?

QOTD: Email a show to my boss who’s the king of cool, and by next week you’ll be big in Japan.

Thank you very much, GV, for doing a meatless episode! The likely future Mrs. Machine is of the veggie persuasion. My personal experience has been that the tastiest foods are often the most cruel, but we’re discussing starting to eat in more and she’s a better cook…

Too late Gary! But I like the late episodes, isn’t that weird?

QOTD: Heck yeah I will be participating, but not because of some giveaway – I just want the Thunder Show to grow. I started watching the show out of curiousity, but now I can honestly say – That I want to help change the wine world. But more importantly, help make this a WINE WORLD!!!

    Good episode Gary!

I saw the Washington Post article. Very nice.

My question is…. How can the 400th show be the end AND the kickoff to a “Spread the Thunder” contest? Hmmm. Could GV be full of S***?

    I thought so.

QOTD: In the words of the immortal LOLCats, “Iz gots to haves me an Apple TV”, so I’ll be blogging about it….

QOTD: I’ll ask my mom to tell her bridge buddies to check out the thunder!

Very good ep – I liked the range of wine selections, and sure, add falafel to the party and it’s a guaranteed good time (a local place used to serve ‘em with a homemade hotsauce that had smokey, perfumed wood qualities (not the Oak Monster – I’m talking hot sauce) and have never found a place since that serves them with that option, but I digress…).

QOTD: I’m gonna fly a banner over my town that says “Check out the Thunder Show” with a link to my web site http://www.bringingthethunder.com that has the best episode of all time. Then I’m gonna buy a bunch of Adwords and link them to the site and fill the site with the new badges. Then I’ll run a contest on the site to see who wants to win a bottle of Pinot Noir. The winner of the bottle of pinot noir will then tell all their friends and the Thunder Show shall grow!!!!!!!

    Like this?
