So… what happens to that bottle of Hermitage *after* the show? Great show, great energy.

    QOTD: What’s a “Superbowl”?

Nice show, GV. Sorry about the stutter… though it did go away once you started drinking wine. Hmmm…

Hear that, boys ‘n girls? Wine cures stuttering!

QOTD: I just don’t think Eli has it in him to put another big game up on the board, and I think the Giants are gonna’ get stomped.

    Giants – 13
    Patriots – 41

hmmm… superbowl. I haven’t been able to watch it for the last 5 yrs, may end up skipping it this year too

    QOTD: Pats 700, Giants 0.

It’s funny that you seem to NEVER agree with Jay Miller’s assessments. I’d love to see you both go mano e mano on the show – I think he constantly overrates stuff.

Loved the look at the “big player” wines. AND WE DID IT! MOTT, YOU’RE GETTING WHAT YOU DESERVE BUDDY! The t-shirt is a long time coming…but its now a reality.

QOTD: With everything in me HATING this superbowl with all of my passion, the Pats have this game 30-17. P.S. Here in the ‘burgh, were glad you’re gone plax!

Thank you gary ! i agree with you 100 % with those hermitage blends syrah plus viognier or others white grape varieties here’s one way to soften concentrated syrah with aromatics viognier to reach elegance… thank you again but here in France the matter is our AOC segmentation and absurdity !!!
    here’s the french silliness !!

Hey Gary- Great show. Do you think it was fair tasting the petite syrah after the Hermitage that you were so partial to? I think you should have tasted the Grenache and the Petite Syrah first, saving the Hermitage for last. Seems like after tasting the Hermitage your palette is going to be pretty sensitive to lesser quality wines. I am a big fan of the Hermitage region of the Rhone as well. Great stuff.
QOTD: From my heart…G-Men’s D-line gets it done. G-31 P-24 Brady gets sacked 4 times!! That would be so awesome.
Being from upstate N.Y. I am a Giants fan 1st and Jets fan 2nd. Is that weird? I have no hate for the green and white.

I remember Earnie Shavers very well. In 1980 I was boxing out of the same gym as a guy named Chuck Gardner. He fought Shavers that fall and Shavers knocked him out in the 2nd round as I recall.
