QOTD: I moved from Australia to London and started really appreciating wines other than big Australian fruit bombs. It’s not been easy but the more I try the more I can appreciate aspects other than fruit and masses of alcohol.

I enjoy your show, and I would subscribe, but it wouldnt change the frequency that I watch. I would be more likely to subscribe to you in a youtube channel. I subscribe to many vloggers on there and it is my central video site. Just a thought, thank you for your reviews and energy.

Just a short question: Seeing as how Valentines Day is around the cvorner, are you going to do a show on Sweet Wines For A Sweet Person?

Nice to see the Laid back couch episode return. Friday’s are the best days……they are the day I get to spend with my wife and kids with no work.

QOTD: I must say that the last 3 months for me have been full of personal change and improvement, but for me the last six months have been full of stepping outside the normal wine path and looking for something new and different. I have tried many wines I would never have tried or been afraid to try before. Gary, you havee openedmy eyes beyond the over marketed everyday find wines.

QOTD – watching this show; it’s made me step up my game at work, and made me think more about my family relations, while providing much-needed comic relief in the progress. Thank you Gary.

QOTD- Similar to my experimentations with red wine varieties, I’m now tasting many varieties of white wine.

QotD: Drinking wine daily, keeping several bottles open at the same time. Usually 2 whites and two reds and a dessert wine. I often try more than one with each meal.

QOTD: That’s kind of easy and odd – my pregnant wife. I am not complaining in the least as we’ll have a baby any day now, but wow have I had to drink different stuff. That’s the change, not that I’ve had less, but that she’s asked me not to open the “good” stuff in our little wine cellar/cooler but stick to what I refer to as drinkable table stuff. It gives you a better appreciation for well-made wine and at the same time, surprises you occasionally with a good bargain.

QOTD: We moved into our new house and in the past 6 months I finished the wine cellar. It is a small space in the basement (11′ X 3.5′) under the stairs. I have two bottle deep Vintage View racks along one side and a standard rack in the back for bulk bottle storage. I love the Vintage View racks, very clever design. http://www.winemastercellars.com/

QOTD: Nuthin in my wine behavior changed… always been open to everything and willing to try it all. Except, now a portion of my budget goes to WL ;-) But I must admit, I gave away some Stag’s Leaps cuz they were WAAAY over oaked – I’m not seduced or my palette changed?… but made some friends happy that day.

    Superbowl – it’s only a game ;-)

QOTD – I have started to drink A LOT more whites…originally thinking that whites were the “bastard children” of wine.

Today’s wine sums up my experience with Sangiovese, I’ve been relatively unlucky with it the last couple of years, I tend to avoid it by choice and concentrate on the other Italian grapes which tend to serve me better (Corvina, Nero D’Avola, Primitivo, Aglianico (that’s yours!) etc…).

QOTD – I’ve gone semi-Pro on wine writing, contributing to a new U.S. Blog using my new found Wine palate and the fact I travel the world on business so get to experience a bit more than the average consumer.

Talking of travel – how is this I.P. blocking going to affect me on the road, I often watch WLTV from different countries and different computers, I’ll be pissed if you’ve cut me out Mr V.

QOTD: Switched from Beer, to fruit bombs, to old world wines. GV, you have been a great influence to try anything and everything. Great show, keep it up.

QOTD: Living in HK and getting to try a lot more international wine & visiting a cellar doors & doing some decent tasting in Tuscany

    Cheers Andrew

  22. February 3, 2008

    Svante Adermark

QOTD: Every weekend I am buying different wines now. Before I always bought good beer and only had wine for dinner, and I usually bought the same wine over and over again.

  23. February 3, 2008

    malliemcg

QOTD:- Biggest change is two fold – hunting down different varieties more than before, including even whites which I shunned and playing with them – with food, no food, warm, cool, after being opened for a while. Or it could be sharing and infecting my friends and family w/ enthusiasm for trying many different wines and dissecting them amongst ourselves and getting what we get out of them.

  24. February 3, 2008

    Mandy

Qotd: Learning about great, cheap Italian wines!

  25. February 3, 2008
