    Vodka????????? Nahhhhhhhhhh

I spread the word everyday; I’m a Vayner-desciple. Especially while shopping for wine at Yankee Spirits, in Sturbridge,Massachusetts.

First of all, congratulations on the episode 400. Hope you manage to do at least as much episodes more, please keep bringing the thunder!

As for today’s show, I was really pleasantly surprised to see you taste the Bison Grass Vodka.
Here in Poland it goes by the name Zubrowka (Zubr is a rough equivalent of Bison) and is quite popular (costs about 7 bucks). According to Wikipedia, the US version might be somewhat different, see the article if you are interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%BBubr%C3%B3wka.

I recommend trying it mixed with apple juice, it’s a pretty good combo.

QOTD: My favorite vodka is Zoladkowa Gorzka (Bitter Stomach Vodka), don’t know if it is available outside Poland, but it has a very nice combination of herbs and roots so I highly recommend it if you happen to visit my country.

I am also waiting for the whiskey tasting show!

I almost forgot the QOTD: it’s got to be grey goose…as it’s the best of maybe only 5-10 that I’ve tried in my life…

In another note…I have to say that I’m shocked, and dissapointed that we couldn’t get more coments. It is starting to feel like people won’t leave them unless WLTV is threatened with cancellation. I think it’s sad that we as viewers can’t take the…..what? minute….two minutes? that it takes to leave a coment about the show…we’re all busy…but come on. I’m full time CKC and working around 30 hours a week…and I still have the means to leave a comment here atleast 4 of 5 shows…

Feelin ya GV on the “Giant” depression brought on by the super bowl. I picked the right year I guess to miss the game. But being an Eagles fan it was still sad.

QOTD: Grey Goose L’orange but I am not a big Vodka drinker in general

QOTD – last October I was in NY and went to The Russian Vodka Room off of Times Square. We enjoyed a round of their home made infusions – but then ordered off the menu. I really enjoyed Czars Gold vodka. Chocolate and spice with a slightly peppery finish – smooth and satisfying. From Russian – I can recommend it – you won’t be disappointed.

    GVNC,

I don’t drink vodka. I don’t drink beer. I don’t drink anything I can see through. Is Guiness beer? Does that count? OK, well…

A HUGE HUGE HUGE CONGRATULATIONS ON 400 SHOWS. I LOVE THE THUNDER SHOW!!!!

Oh jeeze, this this a little embarassing but us college kids like to spluge on Skyy vodka for sure. Maybe because of the bottle.. haha

I honestly can’t remember the last time I had vodka. I just don’t have the cash flow to get into anything other than some good beer from time to time and, of course, wine.

I work as a bartender (at a wine restaraunt) and being someone who appreciates the cocktails of the old school (and lots of flavor in my liquor), I often shun vodka the way it is used and abused by most westerners. The way Russians drink it, with some caviar or other rich food, is cool as hell. The way we do it here in the States, drowned in cranberry juice or tonic water, is not. I do however adore that original “flavored vodka” aka gin, so I guess my favorite brand there would be Junipero, made by Anchor Distilling out in San Fran. My favorite brand that anyone has heard of? Tanqueray, for sure.

    Thanks for 400 great episodes.

QOTD: Chopin. Love the oily texture, the clean finish, and the slight burn.

QOTD: Vodka?! I just started drinking wine 4 years ago and I’m 45!

Does contributing content to the Thunder Show and sharing it with my friends count as spreading the Thunder? If not, I’ll have to try harder.

QOTD: I’m not really a vodka girl when it comes to spirits. I like dirty saphire martinis, but we ARE talking vodka here, and I have been known to partake of a little hanger one neat. 400!!! THANK YOU GARY!!!

  23. February 5, 2008

    Mike F

As always, great show. That was the classic NJ bar.

  24. February 5, 2008

    Dan C

    400 more? yes please.

QOTD: I’m not really a drinker of the heavy stuff. I stick to wine and a good beer here and there … so I’m afraid I don’t have a favorite vodka …. but I will represent for a delicious Tanqueray and tonic.

P.S. sorry GV but i gotta say I LOVE YOU GIANTS!! and this win was special for me since I’ve been a true blue Giants fan from birth and being a younger guy this is only the second super bowl I can really remember seeing! the first one of course was a crushing 35-7 loss at Baltimore … so I’m pretty stoked! So step off all you bandwagon jumpers! It’s not always easy being a giants fan! can I get an amen MOTT?!

    Happy 400!
