Just recently discovered your AWESOME video’s! I absolutely LOVE this show, the love, the passion, the wines…. everything!
I am fairly new to wines. Drank a lot of them already, but never paid too much attention. Your show sparked the interest and now I buy pairs of wines to taste them myself. Thanks to you GV!

QOTD: Gamba’s or Scampi! Don’t know if it counts, but I absolutely adore Escargots (snails)

I work in the wine industry and about two years ago I discovered Languedoc-Roussillon and funny enough I wasn’t even in France ***Insert snare beat dumb joke sound***. It’s been my little secret when people are over at our house. Their so used to drinking wine from the Okanagan, that when I hit them with some serious south of France action its ova. Thanks for the show mang.
QOTD: The best shell fish no question fresh that day Vancouver Island oysters! I eat that bad boy like a harbour seal…. Raw, baked, Fried doesn’t matter. and when in Vancouver (Rodney’s Oyster Bar).

I’m all about soft shell crab and shrimp. Those two could duke it out and the only winner would be my stomach. Mmmm… soft shell crab sushi…

QOTD- Scallops, love the scallops. Got to have them cooked though. I had a scallop the last time my wife and I went out for sushi that almost made me loose the meal. Oysters on the half shell are a very close second- those I prefer raw accompanied by a Chablis.

    Great episode today Gary!

Awesome show, I am a novice to the wine life and I had a question. I am old fashion in that I do not have a myspace or facebook, so I am going to paste my question here in hopes of either you (Gary) or someone else will post some recommendations. I wanted to know if you are familiar with the world of Kosher Wines, if so what bottles would you consider to have a unique taste. Thanks for the help and I apologize if this has been covered in a previous show. Once again, I find your show both fascinating and entertaining.

Fantastic episode. I think Portugal (especially douros) is producing AMAZING wines. I’m not saying that just because you say it like every 45 seconds on WLTV, but because the douros I’ve had were in the $30-40 range and easily tasted like $60+ bottles. Amazing QPR.

QOTD: I’d have to say lobster. I think it’s the most delicious, and European lobsters always tasted better than Maine lobsters. Both are insanely delicious if cooked properly. Sea urchin roe and octopus are favorites, too.
