Tie between scallops and New England steamahs.

QOTD: Fresh Dungeness crab from Hood Canal Washington by far. I usually have it with cocktail sauce.

Great show! Really focused except for the football rant. I can’t wait for the draft. I love lobster, would love to try the Brittany lobster. Raw or slightly barbequed Tomales Bay oysters with ice cold Pacifico. Mmmmmmm. Raw live scallop with a little lemon and sea salt.

QOTD: Spicy shrimp and sun-dried tomato cream sauce over fresh homemade fettuccine. A bit hard to pair with wine though.

QOTD: That’s a tough one. Would have to say scallops.

Sarah sounds like she could have written the Juno soundtrack single-handedly.

QOTD: mussels, no doubt. In lemon, butter and garlic. Yum!

    Great show!

QOTD – Split between King Crab and Maine Lobster with melted (and extra salt added) butter. Mud bugs (craw daddies) are a CLOSE second! Oysters are a not-so-distant third….

and maybe….people don’t leave the show after 10 secs because they don’t like the yelling…Maybe they leave because they ONLY like the yelling…Maybe you should do an entire show in the same voice you open it up Gary…just something to think about

Great episode today, I have a feeling the next 400 episodes are going to be great.
QOTD- Snow Crab, I think it is the best of the crabs even though it is spiney and sometimes painful to open up.

    Kazi Indakwa

    QOTD: Fresh lobster.

If you need a song to tell you your not an alcoholic, then you probably are. Great show today! I’m loving the Portuguese wines and hopefully I’ll be able to get into the Southwestern France wines. Don’t know about the stuff from Cote-de-Provence and the Southeast area (had some of their unfined/unfiltered stuff and was repulsed by the crap) but I’m not totally turned off yet. Now I want to see the new Winelibrary, I think that’s a great idea giving these regions more floorspace. This is going to be a special chapter in WLTV, I can feel it!!

    Nickyb85

QOTD: I love me some scallops, cooked just right with lots of garlic and butter!

    QOTD: Mussels, baby!
Speaking of mussels, what happened to GV’s muscles? No work out talk in a LONG while! Plenty of cheese eating though……
Actually, my favorite shellfish is the oyster but no easy lead in to ballbusting there.

Really excited to try the Carm Douro. I like what you do explaining the smells and tastes so I can try what fits my pal. P.S. The Nero D’avola from Morgantes you did a while back was alright but improved after a couple of hours decanting. Good show today!

QOTD: I love shrimp. Shrimp is amazing. Any wine recommendations for shrimp?

    Marc

    Cute song…fits the show well!

QOTD: Lobster..big, sweet, fresh Australian lobster…eaten in Australia of course!

Damn…I just knocked my big-ass glass over and broke it!!!!! Thankfully, I already drank the wine in it :)
