Isn’t wine amazing? It brought Gary, Pipes and Sasha all together – fun, laughter, great conversation. I love wine.

Sasha, I believe, is 63 years old.

I would love to shadow an NBA ref for a day – I might finally learn why my Lakers get such shitty calls.

Obama will be our next president.

    That was a fun show!
Your pops is 59…I would put a dollar on that except I just spent all my money on 2005 Chateau Pavie shopping at The Wine Library…

    I would shadow Hugh Hefner…Duhhh

P.S. I think this probably is an instant classic episode.

Awesome EP, for sure a classic. Totally cool to see a guest who brings wine on the show from her travels. I really enjoyed watching the dynamic with Sasha there. Great show, keep ‘em coming !

Brady B is my hero. I miss spoke when I said McCain. We have three democrats running. I agree with Brady B. I need more wine!

  13. February 8, 2008

    Terrance Young

Chateau ‘Oh’ Arc?… oh Gary Gary with your horrible reading and pronunciation of French. The wine is from Arkansas and the X in Aux is pronounced. It’s a play on words… but I’ll leave it at that.

What a raucous show. It was good to see Papa Vaynerchuk and my guess is that he is the same age as my old man, 65.

  14. February 8, 2008

    Kevin

That was awesome. I’m from B.C. and I hope you do more wines from our niche of the world more often.

    1. I think Pops is 59.

Gary! Awesome show… So glad to see that you did a BC wine on the show today!! Osoyoos (pronounced Oh-so-yoss) Larose is a joint venture between a Canadian-owned owned company and the Bordeaux based Group Taillan (for anyone out there who cares). I’d still love to see you do a show on the Okanagan (the Valley where Osoyoos Larose comes from) sometime. But I digress…

    QOTD (#1): 56

  17. February 8, 2008

    Steven Wyatt

    1. 58
    2. Mob boss, Godfather type guy
    3. Yes We Can

Also, Pipes is an awesome nickname, wish I had one that great. Also also, Pipes is awesome and show up on WLTV more often.

    Jim

    QOTD, #1- 59

#2- Bob “Rapid Robert” Feller, although retired (89 years old!!), this guys still serves as the Camp Commissioner at the Indians Fantasy Camp (and rumor has it that he still hurls a few balls every now and again!! Why is because short of my pop, he is my hero.

#3- A blithering idiot who neither knows or cares about “Average” Americans. It’s too bad that naturalized citizens or even (gasp) legal residents cannot be considered, your pop would prob make a cool pres!

great show, I think it’s safe that Pipe’s smile and Sasha’s presence totally stole the thunder today. definitely a fun one to watch.

3)im writing my vote for the Sasha/Pipes duo

Fun episode for you guys — need to have those for your own sanity, GV.

Sasha looks 58, probably is 68.

Would love to follow Richand Branson around for a day — incredible personality.

Think Hillary will manage to get by Barack, although either will probably embarass JM.

  22. February 8, 2008

    Rico

    Great show
    QOTD:
    1- 60

    2-Not sure

    3- Obama

Ok, in order….Sasha…61, Actually I’d like to follow Jen for a day.. :) and either Hillary or Barack, whoever wins…Great show, nice to see a bit of a different look.

    scott.t.

Incredible episode! The show was a meritage of cameo appearances. Definitely an instant classic.

    QOTD:
    1. Guessing Sasha is 62. Why? Because I like the #. He’s cool as sh*t.
2a. Gary V b/c who wouldn’t be able to say, “Welcome to Wine Library TV…I’m Gary VAAAAY-NER-CHUKKKK!” (Sadly, my palate isn’t very developed as his but I swear I tasted pleasant root beer and chocolate flavor in a Hope & Grace cabernet I had last night).
2b. Vivian so she can help me develop my palate. At her age I was fond of gumming my family’s cheap naugahyde sofa. She’s eons beyond me when I was her age. Katherine: you should start a “what is Vivian teething on” twitter/blog.
    3. Not terribly enamored with the apparent choices. Maybe Hillary?

    Cheers on another outstanding episode!

    GARY—!!!

This is the best episode I’ve seen! At first I thought… sweet, a hot guest (sidebar, is Pipes taken?…. seriously?) Then I thought, awesome… now GV’s pops is on the show. How can this episode get any better? Then the banter about politics… priceless. Nothing against you GV, I love you man, but having your Dad on along with lovely attractive guests more often will do nothing but bring more thunder. As a CKC from Missouri I love the wine from Oklahoma and Arkansas. Its too bad that the best Missouri has to offer is horrible concord wine.

Q(s)otD: I’d say Sasha is older than he looks since clearly he looks great for his age. 62 is my guess.

I’d like to shadow any CEO of a fortune 500 company. The more I get promoted at the places I work, the more I see that higher management does less “work” minute for minute but has a MUCH higher level of responsibility and stress.

At the beginning, I supported Duncan Hunter, he dropped out so then was Thompson, then Giuliani, then Romney… now I guess the next conservative in line is Huckabee. Its too bad there isn’t a GV – SV ticket. Ultimately and unfortunately, Hilary will win after McCain gets the GOP nod and can’t rally the conservative base. I’ll need some good wine recommendations on election day.

Thanks for making a great episode (and my night),
    Brady B.
