    Gary, Gary, Gary…..

Re-lax…. Your father is absolutely charming, and the reparte between the two of you (as well as the kisses) was simply enchanting. Oh, and Pipes was fun, too–a little injection of the not-so-expert, like the rest of us.

Who’s going to win the election? The Democratic ticket, either Obama or Clinton.

    Thanks for a wonderful episode.

the funniest episode i think i will ever see

Great episode! Hey Pipes and Sasha, get a room! kidding of course.

QOTD: Who would I shadow for one day at work? The US President, doesn’t matter which one he is.

QOTD2: I think Sasha thought the same thing, which is why he asked who will be the next President. Answer: Probably Obama (hold onto your wallets!).

    phew…great episode!

    GQOTD: 60
SQOTD: Hillary will be the next prez….ugh
PQOTD: I would like to shadow Steve Jobs too, how cool would that be!

    William Bedard

Wow…that was sooo one of the best episodes! Many other commenters nailed it but seriously, Pipes…you really have a fantastic way about you (aka, you are so hot!).

Gary, I really appreciate how cool you were with your show getting completely hijacked. I also appreciate your more “analytical” take on the wines contrasted with the more “working-person” views offered by many of your guests. Keep bringing them on, though! Guests are a great “seasoning” to the “meat-and-potatoes” that Gary brings each day.

    QOTD 1: Around 65
QOTD 2: Eh, the President’s job would probably make for an interesting day.
QOTD 3: Too close to call atm, but likely a Democrat.

To all the Vayniacs…have a great weekend!

Awesome show!! Sasha and Pipes? And even Mott? Hard to beat that. Oh, yeah, and that Gary guy, too. Pipes, kudos to you and I hope the rest of your trip is fantastic as well. Enjoy!

    QOTD 1: 57
QOTD 2: I’d like to shadow a real winemaker/vineyard manager and just soak up the information on what it is like to make wine. I guess it would have to be after harvest so it would be an interesting day. :-)
QOTD 3: Obama – I like a challenge and I think it would be awesome for the country.

Absolutely one of my favorite shows.

QOTD: Sasha is…….59? I like prime numbers!
QOTD: I would love to shadow someone who reviews health spas for a living. Travel, gourmet (healthy) food, physical therapies, etc; I just can’t think of a better job.
QOTD: At this point, I’m just so excited that Dubya is going to be a gone pecan that I will be happy just to have someone else in the White House.

    That was an awesome episode!

Gary, they stole your spotlight =) you got a little antsy about that.

    I’m guessing Sasha is 56.

For shadowing I considered a chef, a winemaker, but I think I’d have to go with someone in the financial industry. I’m interested to know what kind of information someone like a fund manager keeps track of every day.

    Big Nick

This was a fun episode Gary. I must say that there were 40 things going on at once, but it was fun and nice to see some wines that have been “traveled”.

    QOTD: 1. 57 2. Beach Bum 3. J. McCain

I usually don’t talk politics, but I guess it is easy to just give a name.

    Characterlost

wow!!! pretty much BEST EPIDOSE EVER. i am just speechless

    QOTD:57
QOTD:It would be fun to shadow the director of a major movie, just neat to see all the behind the scenes stuff
QOTD: gotta go with Hill dog

  11. February 9, 2008

    GeneV

Obama is the man. Great show.

  12. February 9, 2008

    Blake

Wow GV, this may go down as my favorite episode yet. Sasha is the MAN. Pipes was fun and brought a new vibe to the show, i was diggin’ it.

    QOTD:

    1: 58
2: I’d love to see the day of a REALLY famous winemaker (like a Robert Mondavi or someone to that caliber).
3: WAYYY to early to call, but if I had to guess….it’d be McCain

  13. February 9, 2008

    yathink2

    Great Episode!

    1. Sasha is 57

    2. Alton Brown 2a. Because he is kooky, creative and very knowledgeable, also why Id like to shadow Gary but I thought that would sound a bit cliché.

    3. McCain

You rock, Jen! I was in NY on Thursday and saw an ad for this show on the video screen in the cab and thought that I should check it out. Today, I get a link from your mom and there you are on the show! Yes, you do look fabulous and just like her.

  15. February 9, 2008

    Jim in Atlanta

I did not think anyone could overshadow Gary on his own show, but I think Jen did it. She should be on again.
QOTD – He looks young to me.
    QOTD – Any US President
QOTD – Because the president is the most powerful person in the world
    QOTD – Sen. McCain

  16. February 9, 2008

    Bonkers

One of my favorite shows to date!

  17. February 9, 2008

    Hooplect

Shasha looks great for 68..and I’ll follow pipes anywhere, anytime..she’s the best!

  18. February 9, 2008

    Howard

This is the best episode I have seen you do, and it should prove to the few remaining doubters that you have the goods to go primetime. I liked refreshing honesty of Sasha and Pipes regarding the wines. Great job.

    Sasha is 62

I would like to follow Jean Todt of Ferrari

I never mixed alcohol and politics, so I reserve comment

  19. February 9, 2008

    billr

Now that had to be the best frickin episode EVER….

QOTD: A. Sasha is about 68 years old but looks mid to late 50’s.
    B. I would like to follow around and shadow my wifywife.
Sub B. Just to see what the heck she does with all her time and my
    money.
    C. McCain, I think that is how you spell it. Mrs Clinton will always be Mrs Clinton, I think Obama would probally get shot, Huckabee would be my second choice just because he is a good man, I feel he is honest, up front, shoots from the hip but doesn’t have the experiance of McCain.

    Larry The Wine Guy

    CW,

HOW’S THIS FOR ALL CAP’S PONTIFICATION. QOTD SHOULD NEVER BE ABOUT POLITICS. B-I LOVE TO BREAK RULES…WHEN IT COMES TO WINE AND LIFE…C- SASHA ASKED THE QUESTION ON THIS COMMENTS LIST,,,, ONCE AGAIN, WITHOUT SOUNDING LIKE AND 8 YEAR OLD …MANDY…. OBAMA IS AN OPRAH WINFREY, TED KENNEDY BACKED CANDIDATE AND ASHAMED VAYNIACS WHO BELIEVE IN CHANGING THE WINE WORLD DON’T WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER…SINCE WE SEEM TO LIKE OPRAH’S EMDORSEMENTS WHY NOT PUT RACHEL RAY…(IDIOT) DR PHIL (REAL IDIOT) AND DR OZ (ANNOYING) ON THE DEMOCRATIC TICKET!!!!!!!!…. HOW’S THAT CW AND MANDY…Ooops I DID ALL CAPS AGAIN!!!!

GV Great show again, JEN as well.

It was wild to see an Aux Arc wine on the show i live just a couple hours from Altus, Although I’ve never had a Aux Arc wine before. Also, you are sooo wrong i could handle way more than 37 minutes of the thundershow! It was awesome seeing your dad on the show! It was really cool! I loved seeing you guys just hanging out and drinking wine, and just being yourselfs. This was the best show EVER! PERIOD!

    QOTD: 1 60? 2. Chuck Norris 3. Gary Vaynerchuck

  22. February 9, 2008

    David

Great show…but Jen never mentioned her favorite wine aficionados (besides Gary), Syd Sonic and Rusty A. Wussmeier of The Spazmatics (L.A.). What’s up??

  23. February 9, 2008

    T.Stro

    QOTD1 – 59
    QOTD2a – my son
QOTD2b – he graduated H.S. at 15, not because he was a brainiac, but because he was bored. Tried college, joined the National Guard hoping to go to Iraq. Got Afghanistan instead. Just returned home after a 1yr+ deployment. Will train soldiers while finishing his degree in Counter-terrorism. Just turned 22 and impresses the hell out of his old man. I’m in Asia & haven’t seen him in so long, it’d be a blast spending an entire day with him!
QOTD3 – ABH/O (anyone but Hillary/Obama) Going with the big ticket of McCain/Huckabee.
Hoping for JC Watts in 2012 !! http://www.nndb.com/people/991/000049844/

Jen’s videos are so hilarious that she obviously has a writer’s knack and should probably stop in NYC and talk to Sat Night Live even though I heard they are Republicans.

Sasha takes it like the Mensch (the real estate taxes)that he is but is always charming and takes enjoyment wherever there’s bread, birds, flowers, good wine and good company. He really doesn’t look a day over 59.

It would be fun to follow Allen Meadows (Burghound) around tasting from barrels of pinot noir without spitting and pouring the leftovers back in the barrel (because it’s so precious)The more I think about it having Pipes there to enjoy it with would be even more entertaining……

I think that the Democrats will win this election as the pendulum swings back. Hillary is all pantsuited up like a canary and ready to move back in the House. Who will join her on the ticket? Obama will break a few hearts when he concedes but he will eventually get his chance the next time around. I guess Bill will really be a lame duck as First Man. It would have been interesting to see Obama outwit Osama….

    Ron

1- Sacha – 55 (hallarious! Great authentic no BS man – reminds me of my father in law)

2- Good question Jen! Shadow for a day – any person in history, Albert Einstein (before he became famous) or Neil Armstrong on the day he walked on the moon. Person working today – Chief Justice John Roberts

    3- Hillary.

BTW Gary – just wanted to say that I am sooooo lucky that my family is exactly like yours. We are also from Eastern Europe originally so kiss a lot… so great .
