Good show. Sorry to hear that the Alban fried you. I really dug the 2005 Alban Viognier that I drank last May. If anyone cares, I gave it a 90. My notes: “Fragrant, tropical nose. Lush, peachy honeysuckle Viognier nose. Well balanced, delicious guava/peach fruit. Perhaps a touch light acidity, and a bit drier than other Viogniers I have had. Delicious finish. Good effort overall. I would drink this again in a heartbeat.”

I agree with Gary. Try Alban, folks!

Amazingly, I had fulfilled the DotD before even watching the show. I had talked to both parents and my two little bros that day for the first time in a while (guess Gary telepathically inspired me).
I can’t give much input on the QotD though. Working on that.

GV, love the show… but could you turn off the radio or whatever is playing in the background. Your mic is picking something up and it’s really distracting.

    Thanks

I am so fortunate to have such a supportive fam. It has been a roller coaster of a year for me and they have stood by me for every up, down, left and right on the ride. Embracing my family as the most important value in my life has changed my life this past year. I call Mom and Pops almost every day but I don’t express my graditude for their support enough- will do tonight.

QOTD: Alsatian Pinot Blanc for its thunderific minerality, well intigrated acidity and creamy texture

    Gary…
I love Reisling! Hey, thanks again for coming on WineCountryTalkRadio(TM) this past Saturday. The show was a smash! We’re getting great feedback here in So Cal. And, I totally am ditto on family!!! My two sons are married and near your age, and my daughter and her husband are just a little younger. They call me and my wife all the time to say “love you”. There isn’t anything better than when we all get together as family (and we do that very often)!

    Thanks again, Gary!
