Good show, always something new to learn about wine it seems.

QOTD: It doesn’t seem like white burgundy is very CKC friendly, but maybe one day.

Always enjoy hearing about a region or wine I’m not familiar with. Will def look for it next time I’m shopping white.

Wow the itch monster was biting hard today?!

I broke out the Wine encyclopedia and found St-Aubin. I love learning on this show.

QOTD: Never had one. I will find one asap.

Here is a new one… The Itchy Itch. The only place you didn’t scratch was your stomach, which you could have easily since you were flashing it. You WERE itchy before the St Aubin, right ? I have had one unremarkable St Aubin 1er Cru, but it seems that it is time to try another.

    Take some Benadryl.

Excellent episode today GV. And it was up really early today! What’s up?

QOTD: Never had one. I’ll try and seek one out. If I can’t find them here, then I’ll just wait till I go to France and try a bunch! :)

Can’t wait for the drawing trmrw!

Great ep!! will try to find some,,, but might be awhile,,, no shipping to WI and I’m on a self imposed wine buying moratorium for all of 2008 :-(

Great job. Picking an area (obscure) and showing a few wines is what I like to see.

It would be cool if you could do a show about fortified wine from the roussilon and banyuls regions. Can you score some GV?

Gary, I thought a Premier Cru was a step above a 1st Cru. Or is that only for red burg. Some info on the rating system would be helpful. I was not into the taste of the white burgs I have tried. I still have some and will have to try again.

    QOTD……consider it done GV!

I WILL try one…this was the show I asked you to do my brother(yeah I called you my brother,,,,,’cause I rool like that!)

and you know what……we(you and me)ARE changing MY wine world….I like it!

QOTD: Sane pricing. There are so many wonderful wines priced in the mid $30s or less to be able to rationalize a high $40s wine… but check back with me after my ship comes in. That $29 WB, however, sounds interesting and it may make the shopping list.

    Hey Gary,

Major wardrobe malfunctions today. The shirt is all funky and unbuttoned but more importantly…where is the “bringing the thunder” wrist band?!?!

QOTD: If those prices are representative, I’m waiting for (a) my budget to go up, or (b) the exchange rate to improve DRAMATICALLY. But I did have a nice Maconnais this weekend so I guess that’s going to have to satisfy me for now.

Great episode today, you really pumped me up to try a St. Aubin and I normally don’t care for Chardonnay. Might be that Cali thing. I have never tried one. Checked the local merchants here and just found a 2005 St. Aubin; Frionnes;Marc Jomain at $28.99. Really considering going to get it and hope it comes close to what you had today.

loved the show… i have been on an unofficial white burgundy safari… i like what i have had thus far. The last wine, the Hubert Lamy sounds very very good, i need to check my local wine merchant for a bottle.
