    Great show GV!!

People don’t watch the show, they just hangout on the forums?! That is F-ing ridiculous!!

Q- Don’t have nearly as much locked up as I should!!

Don’t have any 05’s from Bordeaux… never tried one. I’ll try and treat myself to one if I can find one in the future.

I’m from Australia but have been living in Canada the last 6 months, and watching the show from there… I’m writing this message from my hotel room in Hawaii on my way home to Sydney.

oh, and by the way, did Bob Barker slip into your office and leave a message on the chalkboard?

Very slick move on the ‘05 Bordeaux vineyard buy up. I was happy to be able to click through and buy a couple bottles. I’m putting those away with some other ’05s I’ve got. Can hardly wait for these to reach maturity, but in the words of your countryman Tolstoy: “The two most powerful warriors are patience and time”.

    You asked. I’m in Canada.

QOTD: Um, a little? I have a few bottles, but not enough. I tried to buy a case of something I found that I liked, but guess what, they were sold out…

I have a mixed case of ‘05 Bordeaux in the closet now, thanks to you, Gary, for making me aware. Wish I had bought more.

    Mexico.
And I do think a mexican wine episode would be amazing!
Also shipping to Mexico… that’s tougher, but please??

QOTD: Have bought some on future, very pleased with the first arrivals, the quality is obvious, staying away from the better known chateaus because of the overall quality and the steep price, even on futures. Right now, cherry picking on great 2004 values is what I am doing. There are some steals there right now

QOTD, I’m waiting for my futures to arrive. I think I got a half dozen or so. Probably will get more.

    GV,
Have picked up a couple 05 Bordeaux out here in Hawaii at Costco and a high end wine shop. The Costco bottles are $10 and the others were around $15. Nothing like the prices you’re discussing. Makes me wonder if I don’t have a real 05 Bordeaux. Says 2005 and Bordeaux on it. Maybe it’s just not one of the better quality 05 Bordeaux. Although I did start seeking them out after you said on the one episode about 20 back that you and I could have made an 05 Bordeaux the conditions were that perfect. Will head out to buy the WS issue this weekend.
Don’t get rid of the point rating. I never understood it in stores and magazines, but have a better feel after seeing you sniff and give each a whirl.

    life's too short...

DO NOT give up scores. Don’t go there. NOT SMART PLAY. People want the scores. For those of us how associate your palate (have learned wines from you), well, we also work with the number thing now.

Or, go for it. Then we’ll hunt you down and annoy you to death.

Dude, who are you waving to off in the distance? There’s no one really there, is there? Like shooting someone the from the hip hand gun “It’s you, babe”…

Ain’t no one there…that’s weird, bro.

Currently at 500 bottles of the 2005 Bordeaux. I have a couple of cases of the Fleur Cardinale and now tempted to get the Secret Cardinale. Bought no FG but a wide range of wines from top to bottom. Angelus, Montrose, Leoville Barton, Grand Puy Lacoste,Haut Bergey, L’Arrossee, Pipeau. Tried for alittle from each of the communes.

GV I am bummed. I didn’t act on it. I just never see the value of having to wait to drink a 50 dollar bottle of wine. Knowing my luck I would get a corked bottle of 05′ Bordeaux I spent 75 bones on. I will look around for a couple good buys but not holding my breath on it. By the way, is March 29th still on. Looking to come down and spend some cash. Joel M

    Norway.
In fact, how about a shout out to Norwegian vayniacs!? Give a thought to those less fortunate who throughout the entire country can only buy wine from a limited selection offered by the state-run wine monopoly outlets..

IN FACT, if you find yourself needing a show idea one day, how one where you see what (if) we have any wine available in common and feature bottles available to us too? (see sad list at http://www.vinmonopolet.no ) -the “poor Norway” show.

OK in the spirit of brotherhood, make the “poor Scandinavia” show and include the Swedes in the same miserable boat (their equally meagre selection at http://www.systembolaget.se)
