SOTD: Gary, you and your family are the ideal of the “American Dream.” Many have twisted that to mean different things, but what it has always really meant is taking advantage of the freedom and opportunity available here through hard work and creativity, not through handouts. I am a proud cold warrior, so it gratifies me even more that you emigrated from Russia to become a capitalist success. You’ve taught me more about wine in less than a year than I could ever learn on my own in a lifetime, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I’ll continue watching as long as you decide to keep doing the show, but no pressure. Hopefully I’ll run into you on my next “pilgrimage” to “mecca”.

What a great SOTD,

I’m a Greek raised English guy who was ment to be in a “suitable” job. I fell into the hospitality world 10 years ago and it has given be everything and more. I love wine, spirits, beers, good food and the social aspect that it brings. However, i love my wife and family (and there is a lot of them!!) more. Keep doing this thing for as long as you can Gary. It is so worthwhile.
