Great and informative. It gives me a greater perspective, even though I couldn’t dream of spending that much on a bottle.

    Gary! You are the boss.

I love me some Sauternes. They’re pricey sure, but there are some very similar and much less expensive equivalents in the Barsac region next door to Sauternes that can give similar tastiness. And for even less money, check out the sweet wines of the Juracon region in southern France which are made in a similar fashion. People who shun sweet wines are silly. Oh well, more for me.

Gary, not going anywhere man. I still value and appreciate all you do every day and will keep on preaching the Thunder and leaving the shout outs !!
Looking forward to tracking down a value priced Sauturnes.

Sorry you are not feeling the love Gary! I might pick up some Sauterne this weekend if I can find a half bottle that is not TOO much. I am going to go back and find some episodes on Port and watch them as I have never tried it and I am hitting up the wine store this weekend!

I am excited for the anniversary 4 pack show, I am glad I got mine ordered yesterday and I ordered some wine with the free shipping code, thanks for hooking us up with that!

QOTD: Not rich enough to know! (actually I never heard of it until today…)

Thanks for another great show, I think the subdued style was fine. Always good with some variety. Tomorrow you can throw corks around.

C’mon Gary!! It’s not the number of comments brother! It’s how many true blue vayniacs are out there, keep your chin up! Looking forward to laid back Friday bro, see you tomorrow.

QOTD: I don’t roll quite that hard. but if I find a more affordable option I will definitely give it a try.

QOTD: Based on my solitary tasting, I’m a Sauterne fan.

I understand you’re a little upset, but you should be happy while throwing back Benjamin bottles of wine. Also, if it makes you feel any better; I barely had time to leave a comment yesterday since you brought 30min+ of the thunder, which I enjoy and don’t like to rush.

QOTD: Love a good sauternes, I am a little behind on WLTV episodes so the 1000 issue is a mystery but I will try to get caught up.

QOTD: I like it! Had some great ones in the past.
But overall not a big dessert wine guy and not a big sweet tooth in general.
    (Those cheeses are intriguing, however…)

Despite the low-key style, I enjoyed the hell out of this episode. Sometimes I even prefer a more chill GV. Dig your style, brother.
Big time wines always get me excited, although I have a hard time seeing myself ever buying a bottle over the $50 price point. I’ve never had Sauterne, but I am definitely interested after seeing this episode.

    Hey!!
    I missed the 4-pack already :(
You mentioned cheaper options for $60 sauternes wines??? yeah, I’d like to find something more affordable for my poor budget…
    Anyways, thanks for the show!!

    Who is that kidder…

Hi Gary, is that about the season? Close people around are all tend to getting a little down this two weeks. Maybe about the season, maybe about our aging.

Whatever, QOTD, Sauternes can go along well with my wife’s cheese cake, so, good choice for me except the price. Maybe some other sweet wines from Bordeaux. I remember you found a under 10 dollar thing last year, and that is awesome. Is that a Sauterne? Whatever, good day~

It has been said that D’Yquem was Baron Rothchild’s favorite win &
    preferred it super-cold with pate.
