Gary,
Just thought I'd comment because this was my first episode I stumbled on a few months ago and am now an addicted follower. I thought you were crazy when I watched this, oh boy, I didn't realize this was a majorly tamed down version of you. I must say i have grown to think you are a sincere, passionate, all round good person and i appreciate what you are trying to do with wine, mainly because I, like you, like to share the joy of it with others. It is an endlessly interesting topic, that has captured me, because you can never stop learning about wine. Thanks.

QOTD: I love the stuff. I have been luckly enough to try all 3 of these recently and the 2001 brought the biggest thunder clap for me, absolutely gorgeous intense wine. The only one I have liked better is my only Yquem, the 2004, of course drank too young but still mind blowing. I read a Decanter mag article on Yquem and the winemaker Sandrine Garbay says Yquem is either best really young or at 15yrs. Joel

Gary we love you and as of today you have way over 1000 comments on the 2nd year birthday episode.

QOTD: I don't think I love them. I have not really had a boitris wine I have loved. It might hurt that I come from Canada and have the chance to drink great ice wines a lot. But I find them to be a bit weird. I love that you had swimming pool as a tasting note. About 3 months ago i was drinking a late harvest zin and I didn't get the smell at night while I was drinking it. Yet the next day when I went for my swim as soon as i walked into the pool I realized what that smell was. Thanks for doing this show Gary, as a CKC I get to impress the girls with the knowledge I pick up from this show.

How can a wine with an obvious flaw (chlorine?) be rated 93?
