Also, just FYI that CMS was a 2006, don’t think it was mentioned or listed, but it was visible on the bottle. To me not as good as the 2005 but certainly worth a taste at the price point.

Last wine I drank was the ‘04 L’ecole No.41 Cabernet. I have had this before but as always this wine brought serious thunder to the table, great pure fruit, well-integrated oak and a relatively long finish. Not terribly cheap at around 25-30 bucks but well worth it to me (and better than anything out of Cali in that price point)

Last wine I had was the Rosso by Sportoletti 2006. It was a pass. hollow mid palette and really short finish. Fruit at the beginning was good, but faded quickly.

Sadly, I think the last wine that I had was from the last secret pack you had on the show. :(

QOTD. The last wine I had was the 1996 Drei Donna – Notturno in Fa Maggiore, Sangiovese from the Forli region in Emilia Romagna. It was a nice drink, silky and with plenty of nice sour cherry, though probably should have been drunk a couple of years back.

Hey welcome back Gary. Good to see you in the drivers seat.
QOTD: I mentioned this one in a separate email to you recently. 2005 Villa Sorono Pinot Noir. For $7.99, good QPR. Hey how about a wristband?

WooHoo a new show! And a great one too. Had some of the Freakout a few weeks back and was really suprised!

QOTD: some 2005 grenache (don’t recall the name right now) I picked up at the grocery store last night. It was a’ight…definitely not as good as the 2004 Menguante Garnacha Seleccion from the secret 4 pack.

Glad to see you review another Washington wine! However, the price point you gave for Hedges CMS is a little out of date. It now goes for $12 retail, but you can find it for less. You ought to give Hedges Three Vineyards a try ($22). These are some of the best values offered by a Red Mountain winery.
