QOTD: Looong (16-20 mile) Mountain Hikes

Yo Gary… just started watching your show a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. I’m young, and trying to get into tasting more wines, and your passion is helping me to WANT to expand my pallet. Last summer I took a road trip through Edna Valley, and I tasted the Chardonnay from Tolosa, @ Tolosa, which is just a beautiful place. Sad to see you didn’t score it better, because I tasted more grapefruit on there at the vineyard, and it was awesome. If you get a chance or do a show on Pinot Noir, I think you should check out Kynsi Winery. Excellent Pinot… a little price (40-50 bones range) but great stuff.

QOTD: Traveling… I get to go to France, Spain, and Italy in a few weeks, and I’m pumped about trying all the wines there. Good times.

QOTD: Probably music, specifically singing. There’s a tactile and audible quality that separates it from our normal, visually based life. It might also be why I like food and wine so much (i.e. the tastes and smells).

Gary- CAN’T believe you tried the Edmeades Zin!! I had one of their dessert wines a while back and it was fantastic!!! Can’t wait for you to try it!! HInt!!! 2003 Edmeades Mendocino Ridge Zinfandel. I had the half bottle!! Try it soon!!!! 🙂

Still couldn’t leave a comment on ep #430, BTW. Anyway, great show – a lot of fun. And I am one of those peeps who have all three wristbands (and I sent Mott a photo to prove it).

QOTD: I am passionate about my Cleveland Indians – GO TRIBE! I am also passionate about my job at NASA (well, most of the time, like when I don’t have to deal with political BS and bureaucratic crap).

Fun Fact from yesterday: The longest recorded champagne cork flight was 177 feet and 9 inches…

QOTD: I am passionate about learning. I love learning a lot about the universe, but really the more I learn the happier I am. It could be anything from science to cultures.
I guess that is why drinking wine can be a lot of fun – I have learned so much in the past two years!
