Just by the bottle,, I could almost tell that you would have had a HUGE Aussie bomb. I like them from time-to-time. Last night I had a 2002 Tensley Syrah, which had some candified aspects, but it was really good.

Why are you so lucky? Well, for starters, it is not because you are Irish. It could be timing – Americans are finally waking up to the fact that Coors Light is simply a means to get drunk. Wine is drank because every bottle is different and every experience we have with wine and food is different. You are riding a wave of change in American culture and also bringing some thunder to enhance the tsunami!

Not my kind of wine but appreciate the laid back Fridays even if I’m watching on Wednesday. Went to my local wine merchant today and said. Look at what I have bought over the last 2 years. Give me something different so I’ve got five bottles that my group is going to taste blind as am I. Don’t even know the varietals or country of origin. He put them all into separate blind tasting bags. Should be interesting for tomorrow. You are lucky because you live in a country where you can be lucky and come from a good family who cared about you and nourished your body and brain. I see so many of the ones who don’t have this so you are even luckier than you think.

QOTD: As they say, “You make your own luck”. You made a career out of something you’re passionate about, and I know you work your ass off. I could get all patriotic and say it doesn’t hurt you’re living in the land of opportunity but I won’t. Like hell I won’t!! God bless the USA!!! Seems we’ve forgotten about that lately…

Much as I hate to quote a gigantic fake personality like Oprah, I heard the following quote, which I like a lot, attributed to her: “Success happens when preparation meets opportunity”. So there’s always some luck in being in the right time and place, but your hard work gave you the ability to take advantage of it. It doesn’t just happen!

    Cheers, Dave.

Why are you so lucky? You have a good family, and were fortunate to know at a young age what inspired you.

Great episode… I actually just purchased a few bottles weeks before as a gift for a bachelor party. Great to see that wine up.

QOTD: You are very lucky and so are we. I am very lucky to have someone like you sharing your experiences and knowledge. I have learned so much from you in the past 4 months and I truly appreciate it.

You are not just lucky, although that may have a factor in your success. You are good at what you do, you really believe in what you do, you have fun at what you do, and I believe God put you here to do this.

So keep on going young Jedi!

Really enjoy the wine and cheese pairings, keep them coming on a regular basis. QOTD: In my humble opinion; there is no such thing as luck. You make your own luck with hard work, perserverence, and respect. Unfortunately, most of us don’t recognize how we can influence our own luck. Keep the faith and you will always be blessed with “luck”.

Great show today Gary – chillin!

QOTD: I dont think it’s luck – I think it’s cause you rock Gary! You’re a great guy with passion and excitement about what you do and who you are, and it’s awesome that you’re rewarded for that! I’m so glad you’re happy Gary, and THANK YOU for doing what you do!

The wine/cheese combos are always great!

QOTD: Don’t know, but keep on doing the things you like, and do them with passion. Being able to do this (besides having a great family, friends, etc.) can be considered “being lucky!”

i remember the juice carton candy. orange was the bomb.

qotd: bc you are lucky. wait, was that a rhetorical question?

Gotta love laid back Friday when you have a couple of good cheeses and a bottle with a hot chick.

QOTD: I understand what people are saying about your success not being attributed to luck, but at the same time, you get to eat cheese and drink wine. Not many things better than that. Good news is that it couldn’t have happened to a nicer, more sincere, guy.

    QOTD: Because you deserve it!
