All right Gary – you’ve convinced me to give C.B. another shot. I’ve had a couple of bottles in the past that didn’t do much for me, but I’ve thrown these 3 bottles into my wish list to try during my next visit to W.L.

Two items for you Gary: (1) Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc – Viognier blend is terrific; I’ll bet you had it and like it too! (2) Congratulations on your book. I think that’s great. You have so much energy. Just read a book by Touhill (Commercialization of Innovative Technologies) that is absolutely the best business book I’ve ever read. Don’t be put off by the techie title. It’s very readable and entertaining.

Hey Gary – I’m a lurker AND I buy books, just put your book in my cart. Can’t wait for it to go from NP (not yet published) to AVAILABLE! And may it quickly go OS (out of stock) as it hits the best seller list!

What up with my little pony?

    Great show Gary!

Chappellet used to make a kick ass chenin. Unfortunately it has gone the way of the dodo in their line up. What’s great about this varietal is its ability to age. Tasty stuff!

Loving the chenin for some time. Milton Sandford & Direct wines in the UK list some cool and funky line of this juice.

I was in South Africa a couple of months ago and visited the Cederberg winery. It had the best lineup of wines of all the vineyards we went to and was in a ridiculously beautiful place as well. If you’re ever in S. Africa you must go! We enjoyed the Chenin Blanc, but the Cab and Shiraz brought even more thunder.

QOTD: Went to a Loire tasting a couple of weeks ago and had a few Chenin’s from Le Rocher des Violette. Great juice.

I recently tried my first chenin blanc. I doint remember the vinyard but it was called Chardnoway. When I first popped it open it reminded me of a unoaked chardonay the only problem was I didn’t finnish the bottle. I opened it again a couple days later and it was aweful all I could taste was sour alcohol. My first harsh lesson in sometimes wines wont keep after you open them.

On the question of the day: I like the Mulderbosch 06…very good and a great value.
