    QOTD: Please, please, oh hockey gods, watching Dallas consign the Mighty Ducks to the golf course. Especially after the disgusting results in 4 of 5 games last night.

    Also racking the Mike Weir Cab Merlot and a J-T Reserve Merlot I sprung for this aft, for a try on my birthday next year (J-T) or 2010 (MW). And finishing off a rather thin Tollo Terre de Chieta with some culinary leftovers.

    I’m “expanding my pal”. I’m a red wine drinker but having some white tonight. Damijan Collio Kaplja. White grapes macerating on skins is good! Nice depth and smoothness you don’t normally find in a white. If you haven’t tried it, give it a whirl.

    QOTD: I am sitting here watching you while drinking a Sanford Pinot Noir. Don’t think this bottle holds enough though to drown out the misery of watching my Padres being blown out by the D-Backs following the heartbreaking loss last night to the Rockies. We suck, but I love them anyway.

    QOTD: One of my other hobbies is rebuilding vintage light-weight steel frame racing bikes and this afternoon I got another frame so I spent some time working on it before watching the episode. It’s almost 10:30 now, so I’m probably going to watch a movie or something and chill out until I go to bed.

    Hey GV, funny show. QOTD: it’s a weird day for me. After the earthquake this morning, I haven’t been right all day, so I’m at home tonight. Truthfully, I’m catching up on some old WLTV episodes – how’s that for an ego booster? One thing for you: please tell me that you’re going to roll through Chicago in the month of May for the book tour – it only makes sense to make your way west by stopping in Chi-town before you go out to Portland! Keep it real.

    Good show! We want to see more interaction with the Mottser..It’s always fun to see how a “non-wine expert”react to tasting a wine. For tonight, nothing special..Just had a South African Sauv Blanc (Porcupine Ridge), which was average, and chilled on my patio watching WLTV. Cheers!

    GV,

    Your office would look truly great with a red carpet. That way no matter you or Mott spill, it won’t show. Just have the ol’ Mott sprinkle a few bottles of the ol’ red around the room to finish the rug job. Love your show. QOTD: Mamma’s working, home alone with the cats.

    haven’t left a comment in a while(sorry)but since the qotd is easy and doesn’t hurt my head on a Friday night, I’ll bite: Cooking homemade pizzzzzzza with the family- GREAT! watching a little wltv and coughing on a poorly chosen Washington state merlot(maybe it just needs some air, but personally I think this ‘03 is past it.)Have a great weekend everybody!

    Again, Gary, great episode! Love the ‘laid-back Fridays’. Too bad for the stain and glass breakage (sorry Mott :}). QOD: Hubby and I are just going to chill with a little at-home wine tasting of some wines we’ve picked out and want to try….:}

    QOTD: Finished a tasting of Jorge Ordonez stuff, some Sinskey, and some Crios. Now onto Dogfish Head Aprihop and mango stilton-happy friday everybody.
