I’ve been out of pocket for a few days, had a sudden death of a close friend. I will catch up on the episodes, but I just want to remind you ALL to do a “Vaynerchuk”: kiss and hug all of your family and friends and tell them you love them!

QOTD: No Greco for moi. Perhaps a weekend task is in order??

perhaps i’ll try a greco di tufo. my palate is severely lacking in its knowledge of italian wines… something i must fix!

Yes GeeVee, we CAN tell you love doing this! You were born for this!
QOTD: Never had a Greco di tufo! This will change soon!

This week I will drink a half-bottle of Italian dessert wine that I just picked up, which is an unusual choice for me. I forget the variety, but it is a white Italian, so it qualifies for a TT (Task-Tuesday) selection!

FYI: I’ll gladly put a widget on my website for your book! Best of luck with that there book!

I’m glad you are continuing with the show! I watch every episode!

    QOTD: Trebbiano

Since your last episode with a Greco di Tufo (#322), I have had 3 wines of that varietal: the Mastroberardino, the Vesevo, & the Feudi. Of the 3, I liked the Mastroberardino the most.

QOTD: Have not tried Greco Di Tufo but will definitely be on the look out for one to try. Thanks. Very informative. I like this educational format.

Okay man, don’t get TOO serious on us! QOTD: I’ve actually never had a Greco di Tufo, so perhaps that’s the next Italian white I should try. I’m a big fan of Gavi, for a GDT might be a nice branch-out – thanks for the idea!!

    Gary,

I have put your widget on my myspace. Link below. I am looking for a great wine inspired background, do you have any ideas?

For a moment there I thought Sir Gary Vaynerchuk was going to come out! LOL

QOTD #1: none. Thanks for the introduction.

Favorite Line of the Day (FLOTD): “Like a Hollywood actress who weighs 87 pounds and thinks that right.”

P.S. I think it was just my internet connection, but I couldn’t get the video to play the last 4 minutes or so. So, I don’t know what the second question of the day is (if there was one!).

    Gary,

Never heard of Greco Di Tufo and I am really into Italian wines. Thanks for expanding my knowledge and I will certainly look for this varietal this weekend.

QOTD1: Never had a Greco di Tufo before but will search it out on my next wine buying trip.

QOTD2: I would like to try Verdicchio. Will also search this out while in San Francisco this weekend.

    Hey Gary,
It’s funny you ask because I just happen to try a new italian white yesterday without having watched this episode yet…it was a Soave by Allegrini and it was fabulous…good body and weight, nice strong acidity, good lemon zest on both the palate and the nose…and overall really well balanced…I’d love to hear what you think of it..

If I were to pick my next new italian white I’d like it to be either Lacrime Christi or Grillo.

Gary Great episode this greco di tufo sounds awesome. I hope that i can seek some of this out.

    QOTD:
-I hope to seek out some greco di tufo :)

What are the differences between “Greco di Tufo’s” and “Terre di Tufo’s?” A friend of mine gave me a bottle Teruzzi and Puthod Terre di Tufo 2003, and I have yet to open it. You said Grecos earlier than 2004 should not be bought. YOu think this is bad now?
Great show today-I was feeling the energy! 450 coming at ya.

GV..thanks for introducing me to yet another varietal that I’ve not paid any attention to. I picked up two of the Vesevo. However, are you sure it’s an 05′? You did the 05′ a while ago (#322) and the WL site shows that being sold out. Just curious.

Either way, I’m looking for some nice Summer sippers and this looks like a winner.

    Thnx.

QOTD: probably many, but I’m unfamiliar with those ones

I agree about the Vesevo. I often find the Mastroberardino Greco Di Tufo Nova Serra even more interesting.

What happened to the episode on GOOD Gavis that you promised so long ago?
I’d also like to see an episode on Gravina. As much as you like Loire whites, I would think you must like Gravina.
Thanks for all of the great shows. I’ll try to keep commenting so you don’t have to call me out anymore.

Classic episode… numerous laugh-out-loud moments. I have added the book widget to my blog.

QOTD: I must say, I have neither had or even heard of Greco di Tufo. Thanks for introducing us to it. I am DEFINITELY going to try some as it sounds like something my pallet would appreciate.

Stuck the book widget up on the ol’ Winecrazy.com

I’m working on moving tons of them. I haven’t heard back form you on my email so get back to me. I’ll come in ad get a few books.

I’ll try that 3rd wine and tell you what I think of it as well.

    You’re the best!!!!!

Greco Di Tufo (sounds like a badass wrestling name!) is a wine I have not tried. Awesome! Must seek out and try.

This weekend I’ll look for some Italian white I haven’t had, e.g. Greco Di Tufo.
