    Gary,

I have learned so much in the last month and a half that I have been watching your show than my whole wine drinking career. I have always had a passion for wine, but always found it hard to get immersed into the culture. I always found myself on my own. WLTV has taught me so much and I am about 80 shows in now and am looking to watch all that I can.

I feel like I can’t say Thanks enough.

I look forward to seeing your ass on Conan again.

Thanks and please keep bringing the Thunder

Wine Library has done plenty for me already. What can I do for Wine Library?

I’ve never heard of those appellations, definitely never noticed the name on a bottle.

I’m definitely liking the more focused episodes that feature wines from less known places and less known varietals. Just keep churning out episodes, that’s what WLTV can do for me.

Oh, that gives me another idea for the “how to improve WL.com” thread in the forum.

i’ve had a few tastes of Fixin in the past couple years. We sold a lot of it at my old restaurant and saved a little bit for the staff to taste. Really really dig the Fixin.

What a great show today! You killed it!

My wife and I have been on a Rhone and Syrah kick lately so this was right up our alley.

What can WLTV do for us? I know this is a sore subject, but how about shipping to WA State? I know you’re working on it so I look forward to when it’s available. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Send our thanks to everyone (including Mott) behind the scenes.

QOTD: nope, I haven’t had either. But I absolutely adore the cab francs as well as some sauvignon blancs from the Loire.

That’s right, baby… Gholston is a MONSTER! Before you know it he’ll be sacking Brady like he did Henne! The Buckeye crew is bringing continuity to the Jets’ line(s)

QOTD: Winelibrary can bring the thunder into my home (of course), but also can debunk the myths of imported wines and enlighten my drinking experience!

So, I’m at the pickup window at the Wine Library today. Just as I’m picking up my wine, including a case of D’arenberg d’arry’s original 2005 (my wife’s inexpensive fav), Mott walks by. Mott actually got me a little starstruck. So much so, I didn’t check the case and was given the wrong one. Now I gotta make the 40 minute trek back down there this weekend to exchange it. All I have to say is…

    MOTT!!! Link THIS up!!!

QOTD: What can your vodcast do for me/for us viewers? Hmm . . . . Wine is a BIG thing. Some guy can rate wine all day long, every day for years, and still not exhaust the incredible range of the subject. So most wine aficionados tend to focus. Like the guy in the movie Sideways who refuses to taste Merlot. Me, I’d say that 80% of the wines I’ve drunk in the past decade have been in the same dozen categories: California Zins, Oregon Pinots, Tawny Ports, Vinho Verde, NZ Sauv Blanc, etc. But if you get too honed in on a few wines, you palate starts to flatten pretty quickly. So I’ve consciously set out to challenge myself with new varietals and regions. Just today, it was Sancerre and Monastrell that I put on my shopping list. OK, well, what I most appreciate and respect about your show is that you do taste the Top Ten wines on the American market, sure, but you also make a special point to introduce wacky things too. I mean, who drinks Cornas, man? Just you, at this stage of the game, but we all should! Have you done a Lirac show? I bet you will, soon enough. Madeira? You’ll get around to it. The day will come when you even do a show on vinifera hybrid varietals. And by doing shows of both these types, the mainstream and the challenging, you will, indeed, change the wine world (whether they like it or not).

Thank you for the kicking show Gary and Mott. I appreciate all of your hardwork.

QQTD: I am definitely going to show up but my Amazon books don’t get in till the 19th.

Bounce: I will definitely show up on 05/12. Can’t wait to see all the other Vayniacs.

QQTD: It might be a good idea to bring a map on sometimes for us that might now the specific region you are refering to. That way we have a better idea.

Episodes like yesterday and today are exactly why I love and watch your show. I had not heard of Gruner or Cornas, and I doubt my local wine shop carries it b/c I’ve been all over that place. Thanks for bringing the thunder big time! How ’bout a big shout out to GV for educating this Vayniac! I will add these to my wish list and hope to buy/cellar them soon. As always, thank you for the education Gary. And I will try to lurk less and comment more. Cheers!

QOTD: I’ve always been a bit of a novice wine lover – knowing just enough to be dangerous. Wine library has beed educational, fun, and a bit of adventure. I think Wine Library could spend more time on Oregon wines and maybe schedule events around the country. I firmly believe with enough advanced scheduling, these could be beneficial and with admission plus wine sales could easily fund themselves. Just a thought.

Oh, and Wine Library could send me a flipping wristband!!!!! ;-)
