Great show Gary! I was going to pick up a bottle of the La Linda but it was already sold out by about 9 EST last night haha. Word spreads fast around these parts I suppose! Good conference call today as well. Definitely looking forward to reading that book!

QOTD: I’m on a big Honey Nut Cheerios kick right now. Usually that with some lowfat milk and a glass of water from my fridge’s door (filtered).

ive been living in japan for almost four years now and had to give up a lot of cereal. they have a different palate here. but they do have ”banana milk” flakes that ive been digging on lately.

i sometimes pour half banana milk and half chocolate flakes together.

    keep up the good work.

Another great show, I love tempranillo, now I need to try La Linda. I eat cereal with bananas and strawberries for lunch everyday, it’s usually a mix of honey nut cheerios, frosted mini wheats, puffed wheat, almond crunch, granola, maybe some corn chex, all of it is no frills store brand. I’ve gotta save money for the wine.

Delurking to say that I start every morning with WLTV and a bowl of cereal. Love the show!

Enjoyed the Tempranillo show. I’m going to have to look out for a straight Tempranillo next time I’m wine shopping. The Red Guitar Tempranillo/Garnacha blend went over well at our house and a good buy at the WL price of US$9 (it was CDN$13 here in Ontario).

SQOTD: we just do plain water at home, but our dentist’s office has 2 infused waters as a coffee alternative in the lobby. Various citrus, raspberries, strawberries, or cucumber have all been tasty.

QOTD: breakfast for me is either oatmeal (with any of maple syrup, raisins, coconut, cream, buttermilk, brown sugar on top) or homemade granola (topped with milk or yoghurt). The good thing about oatmeal is that I can make up a plate of bacon to go with, and not feel guilty about it — Lucky Charms with a side of bacon would just be weird. Lately I’ve done a sort of muesli with dry rolled oats, shredded apple, raisins, cinnamon, and kefir left overnight in the fridge, then add a bit of milk in the morning to get a nice consistency. Earlier this week it was rice pudding with cinnamon and fresh mango.

QOTD: I’m actually eating regular Cheerios as I’m watching. Nothing wakes you up in the morning like a cup of Vay.Ner.Chuk.
Side QOTD: There is no pitcher of water in the fridge. If you want water, it comes from the tap. And in the summertime, if you’re outside, it comes from the hose.

Haven’t watched the episode yet – just wanted to let you know that I purchased 6 bottles of the Pommom Shya Red on your reccomendation to be shipped to my parents’ house in Michigan. I’ll let you know in July what I think of it when I get over to collect it! Thanks!

Kashi stuff, and spoon sized wheat. On a good day, my wife will make her oatmeal special, which includes a bit of plain yogert, fresh fruits, lightly sugared, all under a small amount of Silk. Yummy. I can’t wait to try the La Linda. Too good to be true? Drink Argentine wines by the buckets, (why not, considering the price point), but have only had one other Tempranillo.

Through winter, it’s gotta be the porridge oats so right now I’m in an awkward transition phase, mainly substituting with toast. I can do the Special K with berries but it leaves me hungry. Maybe I should go the muesli route.

Haha…. I jumped in my chair when you yelled after tasting the 2004 Arzuaga Pago Florentino Oak Monster :)

QOTD: I can’t say as I’m eating any cereal right now, though I did just have the last of a bowl of wheat thins. BUT — if I hadn’t been out, I was going to fill the bowl up with Fruit Loops instead of wheat thins.

    Yay FRUIT LOOPS!

QOTD: Im a big cereal guy, but my mainstays since childhood have been Post Raisin Bran, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Frosted Mini Wheats. On top of that I throw some Cinnamon toast crunch. Oh, and tried a new one the other day, Nature Valley (the granola bar company) has an Oats and Honey cereal, pretty good stuff.

And as an aside, I wouldnt ever use the flavored syrups that are on the table at IHOP. I worked there in high school, and once a month we would empty the containers out into a bucket, strain out all the cigarette butts and chewing gum that people put in them, wash the containers and then refill them with the same, now “clean” syrup. That is some really bad stuff, and one of several reasons that IHOP is a no-go for me.

God damn, this was the best oakmonster ever :-) )) You made my day Gary!
