Vernaccia is another classic white wine that is overlooked by so many as they focus on the 1 or 2 white wines they drink from Italy. I hate to pick on Pinot Grigio but I want people to expand their palates.

Do you have trouble sleeping at night because your mind won’t shut off, or do you colapse as soon as your head hits the pillow? I can usually go to sleep pretty easy, but then wake and my mind starts rolling and I can’t go back to sleep.

Hey Gary, have you ever drank muscadine wine, if so, what did you think?
The closest winery to us is in Natchez Mississippi, and that is what they make there.

QOTD: “For whom, living or dead, would you buy a drink?”….well realistically if it is 1230 in the morning at a bar, my question would be “where did my left shoe go?”

    Lets talk about room temp.
Everyone always says room temp for reds, but, room temp for me may be differant than for you. So I really want to know what the optimal drinking temp is for Reds and Whites. Room temp at my house ranges between 70 and 75 degrees.

    Hi Gary,

I totally agree on trying different varieties. I was in Germany last week and tried many local grapes, Kerner, Trollinger, Lemberger and so on. Great with local dishes.

    Keep on nice work.

qotd: what was your social image while you were growing up? (honestly, I imagine you were that sort of unintentional class clown type – the one other kids would see and be like “dude, check out gary, he’s eating ladybugs again!” always spitting something out that never should have gone in your mouth…)

    great show today.
