QQOTD: Usually a Miller Lite drinker, but I do change it up with Stella Artois, Newcastle, and Negro Modelo(4 cinco de mayo). I think most beer is good stuff.

QotD: Big fan of Corona. That would be a desert island beer for me. Guinness is another favorite.

Great show. Guests are fabulous. . .especially those that “tell us what they truly think”. It was fun to watch his face turn more red as the show went on and he drank more wine!

QOTD: Blue Moon–a Belgian White Ale

Just started watching and love it. But someone needs to proof read the episode pages. At the top it says “Lets see their take on the Austrian reds!” I thought McLaren was in Australia ;) . And the wines listed under Wines tasted in this episode:
    2006 Nugan Estate Shiraz
    2002 Eppalock Ridge Shiraz
    2006 Nugan Estate Shiraz
    2002 Eppalock Ridge Shiraz

    oops!

But I love the show. And I love Shiraz. Gotta try some Eppalock.

P.S. Interesting how you developed your palette. I have a friend who teaches wine certification courses. She has never tasted strawberries, cherries, or most fruit in her life. She developed her palate the opposite way, by identifying wine flavors and having others tell her “that’s strawberry” etc. She has an amazing palette and nose.

QOTD: My own home brewed Red Ale.

QOTD: A good craft brewery pale ale.

    Awesome episode.

QOTD: Just like with wine, depends on what I am eating. Just had a Smuttynose IPA with Sushi, which was great. For a BBQ, St. Peter’s Old Style Porter. My all time favorite beer is the Brooklyn Chocolate Stout.

QOTD: Innin and Gunn. Oak Barrel aged beer. Bittersweet and smooth. A scotch/wine lover’s beer for sure. Second choice is Stella. On taste alone it is great, but their advertising campaign is world-class. “I would rather die of thirst than drink from teh cup of mediocrity”. You just can’t beat that.

Qotd: Sorry guys, I just dont dig the beer. I do have a small soft spot for super skunky pilsners. Nice show, always cool with a guest! Thanks!

Today’s show was great! It’s always good when you have a co-host especially when it’s just a nice average joe sort of guy. He’s not in the wine biz ect. just loves wine like so many of us do :) It was great to be able to relate more directly with what he was coming up with. Not that I don’t relate to you, however sometimes in order to get what you’re getting I’d need to taste the wine and see what you said and TRY to pull it out. Interesting thing about the hazyblur wines, I checked out the site and he learned from watching his Italian father make wine the old school way for years before deciding to make his own. Perhaps those roots were part of the reason the wine came across as something to accompany a meal as most Italian wines are. Just a thought…

QOTD: Well my wife won’t let me buy enough wine to drink daily so I do buy and drink beer since it’s a little cheaper hehe. I don’t always get the same thing (where’s the fun in that). I like the beck’s dark, sleemans, alexander keiths, and lots of great craft beers – to many to mention lol.

I do like the inside of his shirt sleeve..fun show.

QOTD: Anything that looks interesting by description, area or recommendation from store. I like to try different things–chocolate and fruit notes are good. Limited and rare works for me also. It’s so infrequent that I buy beer, that I don’t remember the names. When buying for parties, we usually stick to the basics–Bud, Coors, etc.

You rock with guests, fun show. Like the surprise factor, hilarious. You’re like the tooth faerie, only for wine.

Feature request for your “Wines tasted in this episode” list on the web page – any chance you could put the price (at the time of the show) and your rating next to each wine? That would be really convenient since my short term memory is basically shot.

Always like a Sam Smith’s Nut Brown when I’m treating myself.
