QOTD: screw beer, drink single malt scotch!

gary, this was the best guest by far! He was natural and comfortable and didn’t overshadow you or constrain you. this is how episodes with guests should be.

Good show! Very passionate and informative.
QOTD: Bud… Just kidding. Guinness is hard to surprise, in Ireland where the kegs are tapped with better carbonation!

?OD: Depends on the attitude, the food and the location. Guiness, Negro Modelo, Turbo Dog, Specked Hen and so many more all have their time and place. I always go for the local brews when I travel.

First off, thanks for the shoutout!
QOTD: Easy question. Guinness, any day and every day!

QOTD: Sierra Nevada is always my go-to “serviceable” brew, but I also like Downtown Brown from Lost Coast Brewing.

QOTD: If I had to drink a beer instead of a wine: It would be either Chimay or Duvel.

QOTD: Since it’s the Summer (almost), I’m once again hooked on Bell’s Brewery ‘Oberon’ summer ale. Outside of that, if it’s an occasion where I’m out, I’ll go Belgian almost every time; St. Bernardus ‘Prior 8′, Gulden Draak, Maredsous 8, et al. Used to love the Triples, but alcohol content is too high for the Summer. If we’re talking an everyday selection; Guinness, the greatest beer ever invented, and the only beer in the world specifically designed to be shot out it’s container using a CO/2 system, hence the unique “settling” it does in the pint glass.

Great show, once again. I always check back to see if you’ve covered one of my favorites here in DC; Pure Love’s ‘Desert Eagle’ Shiraz, from Barossa.

What’s up with the macro and wannabe microbrews? No,no,no. Learn about Oregon and check out Rogue Ales, Hair of the Dog, Deschutes Brewery, etc…

Totally awesome to see you put a fan on the show! If I drive out to NJ will you put me on with some various Zinfandels? ;-)

QOTD: I usually just kick back a classic Budweiser or Michelob, but when I’m feeling adventurous I like to throw back an ice cold Guinness.

QOTD: Tetley’s English Ale. Smooth, creamy…puts a smile on your face.

If you come to Des Moines, dinner is on me.

QOTD: Not exactly a beer, but I’d go for a Hornsby Cider

    dangorange

Smuttynose IPA, been my favorite for years now. Also love the imperial IPAs and Stouts.

Beer out of a bottle has to be Orval. The Belgian heavyweight champ knocks everything else flat.

But as I’m in England, I can get Coniston Bluebird on draught in a lakeside pub. And you can’t beat that with anything.

Great episode, I would give a lot to be able to sit shotgun on a show!
QOTD Sam Adams summer ale, Boston lager, cherry wheat, Magic Hat Circus Boy, or #9 and lastly Pete’s Wicked strawberry blonde.

    Boulevard Wheat

QOTD: I love a good home brew, IPA, Porter, or Stout. Love IPA’s from couple US Breweries, Bridgeport and Sweetwater. Also, Yuengling Chesterfield Ale is very good.

    Thanks Gary, loved the show.
