Just discovered your site, and I have to say, most enjoyable. It is fascinating as an Australian to get your take on our wines. I'm a Belgian living in Spain, so I guess I have the best of both worlds : really good value for money wines (I challenge everyone with a 4.5€=6.5$ Campo de Borja for instance) and the BEST beers of the world. Twice a year I drive up/down between Belgium and Spain and you can bet my boot is full of alcohol! So : QOTD = my absolute favourite beer = Westvleteren 12, but since it was chosen best in a US competition, it's hard to get it (the monks don't brew more than absolutely necessary for breaking even), but it "civil" equivalent St Bernardus 12 is brilliant as well. Rochefort beers (also trappist beers) are equally wonderful. My favourite summer beer : a Hoegaarden white beer or a reddish Palm...
