    Great Show!!!

QOTD: I’d definitely go visit the right bank of Bordeaux….more specifically Pomerol. That is a dream of mine.

    Chris from Portland

Did I just hear a Stratego reference? That rules. It was all about the spy in Stratego.

QOTD: Knowing what I know now, I would go back to the vineyards in Piedmont. I lived and worked in Turin, Italy for a year working for a tour company leading up to the Winter Olympics in 2006 and we drank all the great B’s of that region on a daily basis, but took them for granted. Now that I’m a little older and my palate’s matured, I would love to revisit that region…and I will. Oh yea, and Amaro? I can’t find it anywhere! It’s absurd

P.S. Dude, you’re coming to Portland. Period. Powell’s would be ideal, but whatever’s clever. Cheers!

QOTD: A no-brainer: I’d go back to the Okanagan Valley in BC in a heartbeat. Was only able to spend two days there last summer (in Naramata-Penticton area). Wonderful wineries with terrific, friendly people and GREAT wines all around. And talk about natural beauty–simply magnificent.

QOTD: Bordeaux. Not very original, but that’s the answer for me.

    Happy B-day, Lizzie!

    Gary,
Did not agree with you on the Estancia, it tasted like some middle of the road high alcohol Cali Pinot. The rest were on point. I love the secret PACKS!!!!!!!

QOTD – Germany, hands down, PORK + RIESLING = HAPPY C-BusWineMofo

Well, now you’ve got to come to Des Moines just on general principle.

QOD: I could live with the Loire, they’ve got just about everything there.

Good show! One of these days I’m gonna have to try a secret pack. Still slowly working my way out of CKC mode.

QotD: Well, I’m planning on stopping by Châteauneuf-du-Pape on my honeymoon in a couple months, so I suppose that would be it.

QOTD: This one is a no brainer – Château Mouton Rothschild wine estate in Pauillac.

Thanks for an inspiring show which got me interested in trying a Sauturne. Maybe a new secret patch based on a game that assigns flavor preferences for each player’s palate.

QOTD: House of Hungarian Wines in Budapest that has 600 varieties of wines grouped according to the 22 grape growing regions in the small country. There are open bottles everywhere, and it is on a self service basis. One needs to be strategic and use of the spit bucket is valuable. Trip to the Gellert baths afterwards is great for a little detox.

  20. May 6, 2008

    Dr T from N. Carolina

QOTD If I also get the de lux tasting tour, Haut-Brion and nearby wineries. If not, one of the Madeira tours

My loss that I couldn’t drink the wines with you. Kinda pissed, but still enjoyed the show (as always). The Prado Rioja seems like a “can’t miss”. QOTD………………Mendoza region, Argentina. The wines are great and priced for my meager budget, the dollar is still relatively strong, (where else are you going to get that?), and they actually like Americans, (who would believe?).

QOTD: Moniack Castle Winery in Scotland
