thank you so much gary, these episodes are a lot of fun. tonight it was just the fiance and i so we opened one bottle, the malbec. neither of us have had an argentinian wine. we’ll get to the other three bottles on other nights. i poured the malbec into the glass and before i stuck my nose in it i smelled the fruit and perfume, really strong. when i stuck my nose in it however i got the kick ball that you mentioned you got from the sauternes. i’m gonna see if i get rubber again when i open the sauternes, but i’m curious if that was left over in the glass since you followed the malbec with the sauternes?
qotd-new zealand, i really want to go there, nothing to do with the wine, but i know that i would explore the wine while i was there

Wow that was a great show!

QOTD: Have to be the Rhone. The region looks beautiful and full of killer wine.

QOTD: I’m sure this will change but I think I would like to visit Domaine Andre et Mireille Tissot in Jura, France. A close second would be visiting Gravner or Radikon in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. I suppose I could go on….!

2 answers- my girl wants to go to the Loire valley on a cruise and stay in the castles and drink the wine, I want to go to Bordeaux with an insider tour. Guess we’re going to France!

Get your ass to Portland! Yes, make sure to hookup Powell’s, that’s the place for you. If you go to Portland, I’ll buy 2 books, and share my Quilceda Creek with you and Lizzie. Double date?

If you liked that Rioja then you have to try the Onix-Classic from the Priorat region. Un-oaked excellence!

Dream Vacation = Under The Tuscan Sun!!!! All the history and fine culture of Italy, coupled with some “excellent sexuality” (kudos, Brandon T).

For others, have to recommend the Mosel, as so well illustrated by Chris in Tulsa. For me, it might be a case of “you can’t go back”. For us, it was long ago, we were young, and ’twas a different world – so very different!

Idea: what if you did a secret pack and gave one lucky buyer a chance to do the secret pack with you on WLTV? (I’m guessing a gimmick like this might boost sales so think about it.)
Beautiful show today. I look forward to WLTV every day (for once in my life I look forward to the weekdays). I hope someone gets you to come to Minneapolis b.c. I would love to meet you in person.

QOTD: I would go to France for sure. Depending on the restrictions, I would love to visit the many diverse regions, but I think the beautiful Rhone region would be the top of my list (though I loved my trip to Germany and the Rhine, with my old college orchestra, and would also think about Alsace).

Go Boston! we’ll get you here, even if you are a jets fan!

QOTD: Last time I was on the Amalfi Coast I had some wines made in the basments of the resturants we ate at that blew me away! I’d have to go back there. Most of that stuff never saw a bottle nevermind tring to get it somewhere else. I figure they have to know what they’re doing to getthe rest of the country to vacation there

QOTD: I would go to Tuscany (even though I’ve been there a couple of times already).

QOTD – Hmmmmmm….. Going to keep it simple here – outside, near the ocean, either a beach, marina, or yacht club of sorts….

Secret Pack sounded awesome! I will have to do it next time..

QOTD: I am not trying to sound cheesy in any way, but i would book a trip to NJ to visit the WL! I would fall into the CKC group, so I am pretty new to wine and i must say that GV has tremendously helped my knowledge about wine and all that has to do with it. Thx again GV! I will see you in NJ one day!

Wish you guys shippedto Washington. Sounded like a great secret pack. I have been to the old world a number of times. I have always wanted to go to New Zealand. Obviously incredible wines are being made there, but don’t hobbits live there too?

Nice show!! Nice selection with great prices!!

QOTD: I can’t decide if I’d rather go to Argentina or France (Bordeaux). If I didn’t have to pay for anything I’d choose the old world in a second… however there’s a lot of less expensive good stuff to be had down south!!

QOTD: Mosel River in Germany! Been there once and is so, so beautiful! Great wines to drink on a summer vacation plus you have some awsome beer also! Vineyards are just so beautiful when grown on the sides of steep hills along a winding river! Delicious food too!!!
